Have you ever not known someone's name when they know yours? Like you'd be having a nice, interesting conversation with someone and they totally remember who you are but you have this itching to just ask what their name is.

I'm usually on the other side, people have this tendency to forget my name. I've had quite a few conversations where we'd be in the middle of a conversation and they'd go "Not to be rude, but what's your name again?"

Yes, it's happened both ways; i have forgotten people's name and others have forgotten mine. But usually they forget mine, i try my best to remember.

Doesn't happen to me too much. My name is pretty simple for people to remember. Just a letter. Haha, there's plenty of people though who I know but they probably don't know me. Like people that my friends will talk to and then talk to me. Makes me feel like a stalker to know things about someone and they don't even know my name.

Ah, I hate it when that happens. I have the most random people IM me on aim a lot as well and I don't remember them at all, but I suppose I play it off pretty well. Its happened in real life as well, I even got yelled at by some girl at school because she couldn't remember who I was

Most of the time people forget my name. I have an ability to remember names from 5 years ago even if I've only spoke one word to them.

For something like the internet, I usually don't pay attention to people's names unless I had one on one contact with them. Or I had to use their name.

I try to find the person's name if I had to talk to them. My last resort is asking, "What's your name again?"

She always gives people nicknames because for some odd reason shes bad with their real names so she'll give you this off the wall name that no one has ever heard of and thats your name for as long as you know her. Thank goodness my name was easy to remember

this one girl that i met last year like last september and talked to for like two secs came up to me this september and was like OMG KATIE HOW ARE YOU? HOW WAS YOUR SUMMER? and i just was all polite and stuff, i remembered her face but i didn't know she knew my name because i had no idea what her's was. and it took me like two months to figure it out bc someone called her name and she answered. lol

So I think and think how they could possibly know my name, through a friend, a class, and then I feel bad that I dont know their name. & then there are other times when ive just completely forgotton a persons name and I know that they had told me. But people forget my name all the time either that or they call me the wrong name, like it starts with the same letter or sounds close, julie, julia, jodee,jessica something like that but NOT my name & I hate when I get called the wrong name or mistaken for someone else.
