I guess when they call at all the wrong times you know.
like at midnight when im sleeping or like when im busy.

and then when im out they literaly fill up my voice mail with crap.

I've known telemarketers, and some don't fully realize that it's their job, what they do to make a living. I understand that they can be annoying, but really, why can't be people at least try to be a little polite? Maybe not scream at the top of your lungs to them? (I've seen it.) My family has bought maybe two or three products from telemarketers out thousands and thousands of calls, but we still try to be kind when they call.

haha me and my friends are soo funny too them!! we'd be like oh can u hold on for a second and start moaning and throw stuff in the toilet haha... then its like omg its a big one coming out and stuff like that... then we be like sorry we arnt interested haha i know its mean but hey what ever!

I used to work as a telemarketer. Don't get pissed at them, guys. Their COMPANY chooses the times they have to call and they HAVE to call each number on their screen. I worked there because the money was quite a lot more than other normal odd jobs. It was annoying, but oh well.

I try to be relatively nice, but sometimes they piss me off. In their defense, they do'nt KNOW when you're having dinner, so I'm sure they don't purposely call when you're eating. The times people usually have dinner are usually when people are home....ergo, telemarketers call when people are having dinner.

I started to like them both as soon as the option to block phone numbers was avaiable.

Before that I had to resort to less diplomatic solutions such as endorsing them fake products that I made up right on the spot, like a plastic film spray for glasses so they don't get all messy during rainy days.

I never sold them anything, bought anything from them, nor got to exchange demonstration samples as a sign of professional courtesy =/.

Dislike: They never stop calling and they always call when my mom isn't home. I always end up saying, "Sorry, she's not available right now."

Like: I don't do this but one of my friends likes to mess around with telemarketers' minds and saying that they didn't order pizza or whatever. They're fun to prank, I guess?

When I pick up the phone, they treat me like a little kid because I kinda sound like one. Plus, they always pronounce my parents' names wrong..
Hmm, I guess they're kinda friendly. But there was this one that started screaming at me.
The guys that you call for customer service are pretty cool. Unless they're really impatient or put you on hold for like 62123 hours.

I hate the fact that they call you at random, unexpected, and often inconvenient times, but I like how a majority of them know proper etiquette.

They always call you when you're eating and they keep pressuring you no matter how many times you say no, and it's so annoying. Oh, and they can never pronounce our last name correctly so you know for sure that it's a telemarketer. Except now our number is on the do not call list, so we don't get these guys anymore

What's bad is, they're so annoying and blahblahblah of course. What's good is, I can just hang up on them. But if it was some relative that called on the home phone I'd have to stay on the line to talk to them.

hate - always pronounce our names wrong, and not just our last name, our friggen first names, wrong. One's that can't accept rejection, and keep trying..

the reason why they hung up is because they have a quote to meet. for Ex. they have to call 300 names or people in 1 day. That's why they can't talk or maintain a good conversation.

where you from? because l know that telemarketers are aware of what time they have to and not to call a customer

maybe the telemarketer's don't know that your from london because l know a alot of Business Process Outsource (BPO) company are interested or aiming for americans.

that's so mean. hey are you a filipino? don't you know that there are a alot of filipino telemarketers. Try to be good to them.

The reason they have to be annoying is beacuse they have to rebattle with the customer or more correctly they have to convince the customer to buy their product. That's why the company pay them for. To sell product via telephone.



ATTENTION ALL ASIAN!!!

Don't you guy's know that there are a alot of asian telemarketers? there are lots of BPO that based outside U.S and they grew faster and faster. They are not even american but to your suprise they sound like one. Filipino and singaporian telemarketers speak like americans and good telemaketers too. There are also some BPO's company in lndia and Hongkong.
l think the largest BPO outside america is in Indian. Please guy's, be nice to them because they only do their job. right?

i hate when they call over and over and i keep on sayin i dont want their service..but they just call like 10 minutes later with someone else on the phone..they are soo annoying and i know its their job but c'monn

I don't hate them, I do get annoyed when anyone calls at a bad time(dinner time, late at night etc.), and its not just telemarketers, its also people i know, so yea. I completely understsand thier position- its thier job, so I don't totally disregard them when they call and hang up, I stay on the line for some time to let them sell their pitch and I say no thank you. Some of my friends have been telemarketers in the past as a part time job, and they hated how poorly treated they were on the job, but they needed the money. Now I don't get that many telemarketer calls any more because my dad had called some place which censors out telemarketers or something like that, I can't remember what its called or the number.
