Ex-boyfriend of 3yrs, turns out to be gay

so this weekend i have a few dreams about me and my ex boyfriend of 3 years... and i didnt know why. well today at work i was telling my best friend about it, cuz its her cousin, and then she started talking about a family party last nite and how her cousin and his male roomate got into a fight... and i said "they act like a married couple or something, they always fight" she jsut looked at me

people have always said that they thought my ex was gay and what not... and yea i did see where they were coming from but i never went to the extent of thinking it myself... it was like i was in denial or something

well it turns out that him and his roomate have been a couple for about 7 months now. finding this out was kind of a relief cuz i used to get jealous when i would hear about him and a girl...which i did all the time since i know his fam and i hang out with his cousin all the time. and now there isnt a girl in the way to make me jealous... jsut a guy.

i still have feelings for him, i mean... 3 yrs i obviously fell in love and although we havent been a couple for about a year or two, i still care about him and what not.

i really dont know what to do what to think or anything... i feel like breaking down.

so has this ever happened to anyone??? what should i do about it?? i mean yea i guess i cant do anythign about it.

idk im still kinda in denial.

u can jus forget bout him..is there anyone else u like besides him? i never been in a relationshiip with a gay guy..if that happened i'd be shocked like u

You're going to have to let your feelings subside... I don't think it would be healthy to be in a relationship with a Homosexual. As a female you probably won't be able to meet his needs... O-o

we've been seperated for about 1 year 2 years... something like that but we still talked and stuff and of course we were togethe rfor so long that ive still kept the feelings. obviously not as strong as before. and i do accept that he's into guys and not into girls. im perfectly fine with it. he doesnt even know i know. i just dont know hwo to react around him next time i see him cuz i see him a lot.

alright. its not like i want to get back with him or something. cuz i dont even if he were straight. but im just sayin it does hurt knowin that the whole relationship was basically "fake"

Maybe he was straight when he dated you. You don't know that he was gay while you were dating. You're jumping to conclusions. Most importantly, it's over, and you have to move on.

well, if you two turned out to be friends, that would be AWESOME! i've always wanted a gay best friend.

on a more serious note, it's good that you accept him for who he is. i know it's hard to let something that long go, but everything will heal eventually.
