okay, well the thing is i want to go to second base with my boyfriend. i just have a few questions on what makes you pregnant...
lets say i give him oral. will that get me pregnant? do sperm die once they are exposed to air? do a few sperm come out even before the guy really starts to ejaculate? my goal here is to not get pregnant. if there is anything that makes you pregnant besides sex please tell me. one last question, lets say my boyfriend and i are free of STDs. there is no possible way that i can get one right? neither me or him have done stuff with the opposite gender so we are both free of STDs... |

Sounds like you want to go further than second base, I would go purchase a condom and put it under your bed just in case. There are ways you can get pregnant even if you don't actually have intercourse. Such as:
 Although doing the activities you seem to be talking about the chances of getitng pregnant if you are safe about are extremely slim. Maybe even as small as around 5%. Although the truly 100% effective way to not get pregnant is to think ahead which is a good thing that your doing now. Go get condoms just in case something more happens then 3rd base. If you do have unprotective sex you may want to go get an emergency contraception such as the morning after pill. If you guys get as far as having sex please make sure you guys have talked about getting more physical and know the things that could possibly happen and you guys have accepted those. Sperm will eventually die when it is exposed to air, it depends though. When it dries out its dead, although sperm can live up to 5 days inside the womans vagina and cervix. |

maybe you should learn more about sex before you venture into anything.....
oral sex will not get you pregnant unless he comes anywhere near the vagina, or the semen gets wiped anywhere near the vagina...as for the stds get tested before you do anything if your really that concerned, he can say w/e he wants but a blood test doesnt lie. and sperm will eventually die once they reach air, but its not instant death |

Well if you had taken Health ed they discuss alot about your questions. Oral sex doesn't make you pregnant but you can get STD's if any of you have one. Pre Ejaculatory fluid can comeout as is possible to get you pregnant if it is spreaded on the condom on the wrong side. Nothing else can get you pregnant besides sex or if you go to a sperm clinic which can help you get pregnant but you wouldn't do that. As For the STD's they can get caught in many ways but if your absolutely sure you and your boyfriend are clean then you need not worry.

I personally think that if you didn't know that doing oral wouldn't get you pregnant or just the basic facts of what could get you pregnant, then you shouldn't be doing it. AT ALL
If you ever do, make sure if he has had sex before, to get him tested, for HIV, AIDS, Genital Herpes, etc. And apparently you are a virgin, so just be careful, do the right thing, either practice abstinence or use a condom. It's best to wait once your married, but how would I know I'm not married and I've already have sex. But just don't ruin your life this young. Simple as that. |

However, personally, I think that if you didn't even know that bit of information, you shouldn't be doing anything past kissing. STD's...hmm. Well, how do you know you guys don't have any? If you give someone oral and you get cold sores, you could pass it on to them. There are so many risks that I recommend not going further than what you have already done with him. But if you do, think it out, and make sure you're ready. |
