i already have a 1024x768, but i want it to be compatible with widescreen laptop (1280x800).

how do i go about doing that?

Do you actually want to resize the wallpaper?

Create a new document the size of your resolution, paste your current wallpaper onto the canvas, and just use that?

then some part will be missing. Like going full-screen to widescreen.

So you'll just have a solid color (or whatever else you want) as the background... You don't have to crp anything.

Or just use a widescreen-sized wallpaper. mellow.gif I'm sure deviantART has many.

^ true but looking at the sizes it wont make such a big difference since we're only going up a couple of pixels. Try just making it bigger, it'll probably just turn out a little pixel-y.
