this sounds way weird but i got a mosquito bite on my eyelid an hour ago.
it swelled up like crazy and at first it was pretty hard keeping my eye open (the left, where i was bitten) but the swelling has reduced a bit. i haven't actually done anything yet to it though; i don't think i should put any kind of topical cream on it...

it doesn't itch or hurt. i just want the swelling to go away before i have to go out and meet some people...

HELP!!!

Are you sure it's a misquito bite? It sounds like a stye. I would recommend just putting ice in a cloth or something and resting it on your eye for a while to reduce the swelling, if it is a bug bite.

Yah I had this before, it was a sty, and it was also on my eyelid, what I recommend you doin gis what the other Melissa had said, using a warm/hot clothe and putting it over your eye for about 10 minutes and do this every like 20 minutes, and it worked fine with me. It went away the next day/ the swelling did.

They also have this eye gel stuff you can put on it that helps it clear up faster at drugstores:

A sty is an acute infection or inflammation of the secretory glands of the eyelids.

oh geez..if it's a stye, i feel for you. i had one last year. but mine..was in my eye socket. underneath my outer eyelid. those usually last about 2 weeks or so. do the warm water thing and dont wear make up for those few days. make up could have irritated it.

my nurse said so. hahaha.
