There's this girl I like. This year (school year),we have become very good friends; we talk almost everyday on AIM, we hang out a lot on weekends. She bought me a christmas present, but I didn't know that she would so I didn't buy her a present. I'm not sure if she has any feeling for me but that's not the point of this post.

Her birthday is coming up on the Jan. 23. I would like to "make my move" then.
What can I do?

take her out to dinner?
throw her a surprise party?
movies?
I want something special, something that will be remembered.
Any ideas?

she's one of those smart goody girls so it can't be anything too bad.

Thanks

Okay, for once I'll be serious. If your a little nervous around her, take her to the movies. You don't have to talk and it's more comfortable because theres more people around. If your fine with her, definitely take her to dinner, but treat her like a friend at first. Dont come on too strong. What was it I said before? Oh yeah. Forceful actions repel the unsuspecting. Thats some true knowledge shit.

Shut up dude. Seriously. You're just really immature. At least I have a reason for swearing. I'm trying to push my limits.

Not the first date Josh. Would you want to meet some girls parents on the first date?

Don't do anything too special. You don't want to look like you're trying to hard.

You're not 12. If you are...You shouldn't even be dating. Haha. But just take her to the movies or something. At least we gave opinions Twat-Swat.

Good luck dude.

Good piont... yeah, I don't think that takeing her to your parents house for dinner would be a good idea... movies or something seems pretty normal.

I gave my advice. That part was intended for you. Not him. I told him what I thought he should do later on in the post.

hey goody smart girls can have a bad side to them.

i don't think the inviting for dinner is a good idea. she my be goody goody... but no manners... or nervous... and prolly hate you for making her nervous.. or whatever...

i think a surprise party is better... ask her to go over your house to help you study or whatever...

Take her on a mini scavenger hunt & leave small presents at the location. _smile.gif Or you could take out her to dinner at a chinese restaurant (oh, the awkwardness) and make your own note, maybe telling her that you like her to put inside a fortune cookie. Tell the waiter to deliver it at the end of the meal.

I love thinking of overrated, difficult ideas.

spend a night out on the town, ICE SKATE, go to the movies, go to dinner, go shopping, buy her what she wants (put a limit, of course) give her something special that you made yourself or a more thoughtful gift, go somewhere to set the mood, perhaps a horse ride, and pop the question

or you could buy tickets to a nice event

^ perfect idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! clap.gif

she'll love it!

And of course buy her a really good present. You should talk to her friends and organise everything together with them. Don't forget to ask them what she really wants as a present. aniwink.gif

This is what I'd do. If you have a place thats really quiet, romantic, and peaceful, go for it. For example:

A place where you can see the lights of the city, but it's completely quiet.

Just a thought. biggrin.gif

so everyone,
heres what went down...

I called her up because she had been sick for a few days, and said I'd take her out to brighten her day and it was near her birthday.

We went to the movies.

After that, we came back to my house. I had a little cake with candles on it with a present and card waiting for her. She was so surprised and I sang her happy birthday. She gave me a big hug and a kiss on the cheek. We cuddled for the rest of the night and watched movies :). I did good... haha

Thanks everyone for the input!
It helped.

So, just cuddling, huh? shifty.gif
