Some good animes? Options

I watch all kinds of anime.. but I prefer the light-hearted funny ones like Love Hina. The last animes I saw were Ai Yori Aoshi and Kare Kano But that was.. a while ago. Anyone have suggestions for similar animes I should see?

The only anime I ever watched more than 1 episode of was Chobits. I watched to 11, I think and then I stopped watching it because I just had no time or money or space on my compute This started out as sort of light and funny (and a bit perverted) and turned into sort of like "drama-ish" where love is involved and stuff. Maybe that's why I stopped watching it.

I like reading the manga better... I've seen to 55 of the anime. Greeeat stuff, it is the next DBZ, only it IS better cause they don't drag.

There's no lovey dovey stuff on Naruto though(DOESN'T NEED IT BWAHA) unless you call Sakura/Sasuke thing but uhh yeah.. go watch it(I know you wanna know what I'm talking about..go!).

being on a low budget..I prefer sitting back and watching old school stuff...well, kinda....and you can spice up the horribly dubbed and edited stuff, like Digimon...lol, with a random "drinking game" type thing, and a soda...2L...hehe... hours of entertainment....I like GW too, and DBZ...

Chobits (both the manga and the anime) have a wonderful story and art. Very light-hearted and funny, in my opinion. Very cute, and emotional.

DiGi Charat is HILARIOUS, but I think it's only in Japan. Nothing Kazaa or I-mesh Can't fix, though.

If you want pure comedic insane randomness, go with Excel Saga. It's really, really funny!

If you want to try something different, maybe try Serial Experiments Lain. It's a very interesting and deep anime that really makes you think. XD

"Akira" is so hardcore. I mean, sure, it doesn't always make a lot of sense, but the shooting and explosion animation is sweet. And when that one biker dude rips off that girls' shirt and punches her in the face...man, that's pretty hardcore. When I saw that, I think my first words were "Holy shit!"

Outlaw Star.. I have yet to finish that. It's a funny, quirky, action-packed anime. :] Plus, the dubbed version is really good, IMO. No, not the CENSORED one on cartoon network. Haha :P

One Piece (Japanese version) anime is really good as well. I haven't finished it though.. I think I'm like on episode 17 or something.. Sheesh there's too many so I gave up haha. But the ones I've seen are so good! And you don't have the stupid waterguns (instead of real guns) lol.

Also, has anyone seen Ayashi no Ceres? That was really sad! The manga's more sad. Azumanga Daioh I love that anime. It's a classic!

I agree, Akira was hardcore! My boyfriend has the dvd, so I watched and wowwww... :D Although at times I was like, wow this is weird. I still don't understand the entire plot, But I like it as in the design as well as the action that happens in it. Yes, the fighting, shooting, explosions, etc. were awesome.

^ yea the Love Hina movies -- I kinda cried in the winter one haha. I had some tears. It was so cute! Endless Waltz was pretty good. I love the animation of it all -- its so complex.

As for Evangelion Neon Genesis, I guess you have to watch the whole anime series to understand the movie? My boyfriend understood the movie because he watched the series, even though he admits it was pretty weird.

.. You don't get it? Okay he chokes her, but NOT to death. He's just angry. Plus, Asuka knows that since they are the ONLY two people on earth left, the only way that the human race can continue is if they you know, have sex... And since Asuka was so mean/cold to him, I guess he's just venting...
