People living in the low-class ghetto-hood rock better, more high-priced gear than people do in richer, high-class towns?

Even the women. |

I always asked myself that, too. Maybe it's all the drug dealing they do and ish. I swear when I was walking home with my friend yesterday there was some drug dealing going on.

I go down to Paterson, NJ (a slum) where there's a lot of drug dealing and crime involved .. I'll see a dude rocking all these expensive bape gear and jewelry .. come to my area, shit it's rare to find someone rocking all those .. though, it's not all like that but what I said was true. go even check for yourself during drive by. |

Well, if you're talking about Bape gear and jewelry as in "bling-bling," I would think it's just the case of different taste in style. It's not like "rich" people wouldn't have anything nice. You would think they would have Rolex watches or something like that. |

Or maybe when the rich folks are wearing other expensive name brands, the "low-class" folks don't know? Because they never heard or seen those brands before? So it's like a different style. I mean, really, white rich folks wearing some j's and chains?

stolen > bootleg? fake?
Also, they probably pay a greater emphasis on looks than i dunno..education standard of living, etc etc. My aunt once told me " a girl living in the ghetto (usually black, no racism intended, im 100% black) will usually get her hair & nails done before paying her rent. |

my english teacher was talking about her neighborhood, which is pretty much the ghetto, and she says that people would have 2 dollar cars with 2000 dollar rims
maybe they prefer the accessories? and my mom always says that rich people never appear rich and poor people never appear poor... which is true, in some cases |

Maybe they are doing some sort of illegal actions. |

People living in the low-class ghetto-hood rock better, more high-priced gear than people do in richer, high-class towns? http://livingbeyondmeans.ytmnd.com/ look at that... Okay, thats the difference between the poor and rich. Poor have different priorities, where as rich people are rich because they know how to spend wisely. Say some poor people spend $2,000 on nice bape gear and ect. Its their loss, because that shit they're buying isn't going to help improve them in anyway.. Typically they're spending everything they have and not saving up too much. Thats why they're poor and live in the ghetto. The rich take the extra money and save it up. They're saving it up wisely for something that can be an asset. IE. stocks, business start up, investment, partnerships..education ;) Thats why so many ghetto people rockin the nice gear so they can imagine they're like a rapper or something, and they go out of their way to buy a used luxury car that they can't afford to maintain.. Now another thing thats really common with the middle class is that they go out of their way to purchase nice homes, what they have in common with the poor people is that they go out of their way and think that they can refinance their home everytime to keep getting the low mortgage rates which just leads to their doom// foreclosure of home ect.. So just laugh at them when they're getting evicted |

![]() ..Okay, so I say all of this being someone who lives (and has lived) in one of these places you're talking about, so don't bash on me for looking down on people. ![]() Sometimes I feel like people who might be considered "lower class" tend to save things more than people with a lot of money. Growing up, I'd get one nice gift for each major holiday, and we'd hold onto these things for years until we absolutely HAD to throw them away. People who can afford to make big purchases throw shit away all the time, they don't need to hold onto everything they buy. If you went through a lot to get something, you can't bear to let yourself just throw it away, yeah? So maybe they have a lot of nice stuff, but it took them a while to get it. Along the same lines, my dad's house was always cluttered. He NEVER threw anything away, so it all looked like this huge pile of trash. Eh, anyway, all I'm saying is that people who don't have much money tend to put more of a value on expensive purchases. |
