Premieres on Jan 16th!

Who will be watching?

Also, for idolheads, witness Jennifer Hudson's Best Supporting Actress nomination for the Golden Globes.

I only watched the first season. I don't really like to watch the show because it doesn't really interest me all that much. It seems like someone wins and then you don't hear about them again. Except for Kelly Clarkson.

I have yet to see Dreamgirls, but I really really really want to see Jennifer Hudson and Beyonce, those two can freakin' sing.

But anyway, American Idol! I'm crossing my fingers for a moment as memorable as William Hung. biggrin.gif I really liked last season, first season was always been my favorite, but I was jumping up and down when Taylor won last time, since this season was such a toss-up.

Hey James, how often does American Idol come on in the UK? Is it two times a week (performance and then elimination) like it is in the US or are they combined into one show?

Well, in the past (I guess it will be the same, but i havent got the tv guide yet) it has aired on a Friday night, with the elimination coming right after the performance show, so we're only two/three days behind

of course, i always download the performances as soon as i can, but i still watch the show... lol im obsessed

Of course, if i dislike the winner as much as i disliked Taylor last year, i will sulk for agood long while. lol.

Wow, that's like...two to three hours (depending on what part of the season) of AI in one night. I don't know if I can handle that XD.gif

the winner's talent has been decreasing every year. i'll probably watch it this year as usual, but i don't think it's going to be as good as previous seasons. if only the first two weeks weren't two hours. then house would be on :[

Ooh, hun that DOES suck. Also, you better hope that it stays on ITV, because last year they stipped showing it altogether on ITV about halfway through the series fro some unknown reason.

I'm missing the premiere because I'll be in Venice (it's a hard life), but the first meeting of the 'we live for American Idol' Club 07 wil be next friday

I actually can't stand watching the auditions, the whole process is so dirty/sickening that I can't imagine what half the people who are rejected have been through before they even get to see RPS. Hence why I refuse to try out.

I've been keeping an eye out nonetheless.

It seems so like set up now.
I mean, look at the door thing. I know it was funny the first time I saw it but like everytime someone goes to the wrong door are we supposed to laugh every time?
Also, they waste time talking about some of the people and their lives. I just want to see auditions.

I personally thought and still think the show was best during its early times.

But, we still have a new episode tonight so let's wait and see.

It seems like someone wins and then you don't hear about them again. Except for Kelly Clarkson.

Same here. I think the only Idol who has actually succeeded and branched out from Idol-dom is Kelly. She made a name for herself outside of winning the competition.

Anyway, last season I got into it around the middle but then lost interest once it was down to the last two, hah. This season, I will most likely only watching the auditions.

My Jennifer!

STOP forgetting MY Jennifer.

*glares at everyone*

winning a golden globe counts as success...

Oh, and I know I'm in a minority on this, but i HATE the bad auditions... It means they don't have time to showcase most of the people who DO get through, which means that, come the voting stages, people who have airtime have a massive advantage.

like Melissa last season. I really liked her, and she was better than a 12th place finish, but no one knew her... *seethe*

I'd still say Kelly for the moment, but it's a close race.

I agree with James...I still say Kelly but it's close. It's so true though...Kelly is the one who's made a name for herself past the show really...

As for the bad auditions, they're funny but at the same time painful to watch sometimes. pinch.gif Ugh.

You guys are completely forgetting about Carrie Underwood. :x Isn't she one of the biggest Country artists now? Chris Daughtry is slowly getting famous and that Mario Vasquez (sp?) guy is too. Ooh, and Jasmine Trias is pretty famous in the Phillipines. But I'll admit, Kelly and Jennifer beat all of them by far.

I'm watching American Idol right now. I really liked the two Indian siblings that just made it :D I don't remember their names, though.

I most likely won't be watching that much until the serious competition gets going. It's just too painful to watch those poor deluded fools that think they can sing.

I'm still reeling over Katharine McPhee - Over the Rainbow. We need more of that.

I love auditions; I really do, they're positively hilarious. But Fox will be showing them for a whole month. A whole month of horribly sharp high notes and appalling song choice. wacko.gif

So I just saw the Minneapolis auditions. Overall, the good ones were good but the bad ones weren't quite bad enough. Everyone was just averagely bad/good. Can't wait to see the Seattle auditions tomorrow. They look like they're going to be AWESOME.

Go 16-year-old chick from Madison! And lady from Eu Claire (I think!)!!!!

I saw the one when they were in Minnesota and two people (that I know of) made it from WI. That 16-year-old should win. She's soooo sweet. News and radio stations were interviewing her. She was a crack baby, haha.

I never saw that old guy sing. I missed quite a bit of American Idol. Before this season's try outs I haven't watched it since season one with Kelly Clarkson and Justin dude with bad hair and an ugly nose stubborn.gif
