Well here a new project we're working on. We're a group of professional e-commerce designers and coders. We code all sorts of scripts and edit currently made scripts. Here is a script that we editted and used for our site. We call the website Micro Diary. Its sort of like xanga, but its not as annoying not the ads are not on the top. Also the templates are easy to create and mangage. its a blogging website. tell me what you think
http://microdiary.org also feel free to register here's a quick demo blog: http://microdiary.org/?w=demo |

Hmm, I like how its set up and all. Although I think you need to go back and make the bloghoster and word press have the same height. Also the right side tables aren't positioned correctly. If you would like a screen shot I'll be more than happy to provide one, also I'm using AOL browser, so perhaps that could be a problem. I like how the front page looks atleast, the background image looks a bit on the low quality side though.

Very modern-looking, and not too cluttered. I like that you incorporated the "web 2.0" fad in the header image by having the reflection. :P
My only complaint is that the globe in the background is blurry, if you could get a hold of a sharper image I think it'd look better. The tables aren't quite the same height in the place that Holly mentioned, but I wouldn't worry about that so much as the low image quality in the background image. I don't see misaligned tables, but I'm using Firefox. In Safari, the tables are aligned properly as well, but there's a thick black border along the inside of the login table and the "members blogs" table has the globe as a background. Neither of those things make it look bad, just thought I'd point it out since it's nice to be aware of these things. If you aren't a Mac user and don't have access to Safari, I'd be happy to take a screenshot for you. In any case, good luck getting the site started amongst the sea of blog hosting providers! |

Well for us it wouldn't be hard since we have been in the internet business for about 2-3 years now. We started off with e10host (became #1 free host on the net) then went to Default Designs to zefz wordpress hosting and then many more level before we released Micro Diary. So we have much experience and do make a decent amount of revenue.
Anyhow, we have changed the layout to hobbit (created by a friend at OSWD) and may change it again in couple of weeks until we find one that all users like. To our surprise, the number of registered users is increasing rapidly. We'll need to move the account to a more stable server that can handle such bandwidth (well do this before it reaches a critical point). |
