In all of your relationships, have you ever had a relationship where the two of you were perfect opposites?
Have you ever had one where you were both pretty much the same? Do you usually fall for someone like you and it always/never works out? How about vice versa? -Tell me, Do opposites attract ...?- -Or is it more or less a "matching", type of thing?- |

Well.. I've never really been in a relationship before but I think what I have now will be enough to answer your question/s.. I hope...
![]() My suitor (still feels weird to er... 'label' him as that) and I are what you may call opposites. We are pretty much different in almost everything, even the way we were brought up (my family is a very traditional one, his is a bit more modern). But yes, we do like each other very much. I usually like someone who is the opposite of me, I don't know why, I just do. But that doesn't mean I can't like anyone who is like me though. I can't tell if it works out, but the last person I really really liked didn't work out very well (it was unrequited ![]() I think it's more of your preference more than anything else. Or the way that certain type of person has this certain type of effect to you... I dunno... am I making sense? ![]() |

Yeah. Sort of.
I'm mean, he's nice. He's boring, I'm annoying. |

Recall that the concepts associated with yin and yang say there's really never "perfect opposites". There's always a bit of light in darkness and a bit of darkness in light—that's what the dots stand for.

My ex and I were complete opposites. I do think that opposites attract.

Yin & Yang.
Dark & Light. Perfect Opposites that need each other to keep a steady balance. I find that my suitor's are usually opposite to me. But, when I finally settle down with someone, we are pretty opposite, but share a few key things. Like a sense of humor. |

From my experiences with opposites.. Oh no it didn't.
The guy totally just brainwashed me with advertisements to be his girlfriend. We had absolutely nothing in common besides school nor was able to open to each other or communicate well (that an he was a immature butthole most of the time been in countless relationships but still lacked knowledge of making out work out well.) But even with my bad experinces I think yin-yang opposites with a few things in common is quite fine. But you have to be able to talk with the person and say "errr.. I don't really like that." "Uhhhhhh I guess I can try that" be somewhat supportive so your differences won't kill things off. Just make sure there's only one thing (like feelings) that's keeping you two together! ![]() edit: Opposites can attract however. I found the person I'm with.. When it came down to on the surface differences a whoozaah of an attraction even though we aren't exactly the same race, I'm frigging short he's tall, he's brighter, I'm older he's younger. He looks older, I look younger. All sorts of small things that just makes things a bit more interesting. As for same.. Hmmm.. Never really had to deal with that. We always had our differences in some areas but I was supportive and so were most of my boyfriends. I think having someone with almost everything in common to be quite fine as well. You just need a person that's able to be able to be open about it.. There's no point on being with a person if they just carry you around like some pretty purse to make out with! ![]() --->Errrm btw MyEverLastingHopelessRomance Sorry about the gender mentioning before. I took a wild guess after skimming through your posts. ![]() |

No worries, it literally happens to me all of the time.
As for the opposites attract, I think they do ... I always see coupls like this around the campus [:] Shy girl, outgoing guy shy guy, outgoing girl &/Or VERY tall guy, very short girl Or vice versa Tho, the differences are still usually kind of the same. <-- I know that makes no sense ... Time for examples! If you had to stero-type ... I usually see a guy and a girl, dating. Physically they're pretty differnt. I never would have guessed they would be attracted to each other, but both are usually in the same clique. I don't usually see a football capt. dating the quiet girl dressed in black who reads poetry. More or less, I've found people usually date in their own clique, or close to it. |
