I was working on a sig, which had a black and white picture and I was gonna colorize it. So I made a new layer and selected a light blue-ish color and i filled the layer with the color. But it came out light gray. So i tried again and it still came up as gray and now every color i pick comes out as different shades of gray, black or white. Does anybody know how to fix this or am I not making any sense? Thanks. :) |

well.. first off, go to new, and then DONT hit okay yet. make sure that the color mode is RGB. then click okay. then, there you go.

Layer >> New Adjustment Layer >> Hue/Saturation
Pick the color that you want the image to be from there. And on the left under the "ok" button, make sure "colorize" is checked. |

It sounds like you are just on greyscale mode. Make sure it's on RGB color.

Haha ok. Glad we could help. Photoshop sometimes does that when you open a picture that is black and white.
