ok so theres this guy im totally crushing on
 but in the past i called him a loser,dork,weird and so on from elementry school to middle school.and moved to his neighborhood in the mid 7th grade.now its hs aka sophmore year and hes at my bus stop-sigh- and didnt like him and for ever since like a couple weeks ago.its kinda hard for me to talk to him now.not that i ever did then except when i was making fun of him.he proberly thinks i hate him.every chance i got i was mean to him since 8th grade.now i feel so bad and sorry.he proberly |

why do we have to be smart enough to answer this question? a lot of people on this site ... aren't smart
and why would you even make fun of him if you liked him? you probably think he's a loser, dork, and weird if you called him this... and why do you underline, bold, and italicize words that aren't even important? i guess that shows how smart you are? |

you like this guy right? so.. what you need to do is.. let the past go, and accept that people change. when you do, hopefully, he will as well. Holding on to what you did in the past will only mess you up in the future. you cant let mistakes, and other actions hold you down.

Well actually.. I think it depends on how you made fun of him.
Did you have a look of hate and annoyance when you did? In that case I think it'll be difficult to patch things up. But if you making fun of him in a jokingly manner.. I called a couple of kiddos some names back in the day.. (more like a few years ago!  )But I didn't come out being too serious when it came down to the immature name-calling so it didn't go too bad building a friendship with them. Start it off nice in easy if you haven't been to harsh on the guy. Take in a big breath and try to look at him like if he's just a regular guy you just know/want to know. Casually say hi, mention a thing or two you guys have in common. TRY to have a decent casual conversaion so maybe he'll think "hey, this isn't the same girl that called me weird and a loser!" Errrr can't think of anything else to help you out. Sorry.

Yeah, just be nicer to him from now on and eventually you two will get to start talking more casually and you can explain to him why it is that you teased him. Teasing others to show you like them is a common thing in elementary school. You probably just kept it up during middle school because you were so used to treating him like that.

I think you should just be nice to him, hang out with him more, &talk to him more. You shouldn't dwell on the past. Let go whatever has happened in the past &move on with the present/future. Have a fresh start with him &this time be nice.

just forget about what happened before, and act natural around him, maybe if you're that scared or w/e then just start off with like small talk or something, try and find common ground with him, that's all you can do. If you're feelin brave, then tell him that you're sorry about the things you said to him in the past... and take it from there
