The One That Got Away
It’s pathetic how I lie here drowning in my tears wondering what’s wrong with me succumbing to my fears Oh no, you like another girl this must mean it’s the end The world should spin around you or so you comprehend Admit it, you thought I would die you thought that I would care You thought I’d try to look like her to be free from despair You thought that I would cry all night and pray that I’d be changed Did you think that I’d sell my soul? Well, you must be deranged So then, if you’re so horrible Why waste time feeling sad? So what, you’ve found an easy girl just begging to be had. I’ve seen the way you look at her I’ve heard the way she talks Who cares, you chose her over me it’s certainly your loss. How cute, you two have nicknames You two are just so sweet What’s that I see? You’re watching me be a bit less discreet You might as well admit it you like me, don’t you, mack? Too late, you let me get away and you won’t get me back |

Seriously. I can't write poems if my life depended on it. Mine always sounds like some Dr. Seuss book. (as in it uses easy words with the same format and somewhat deranged topic) |
