well ive searched high and low and couldnt find anything helpful. I have acne on my nose. its horrible, like a raspberry but nothing helps. ive been using olay foaming face wash for 6 months every single day and 1/2 my acne i had is all gone but its doing completely nothing on my nose. every 2 hours i check my face and my nose has dots of oil all over it. how can it be so oily after such a short period of time? this is really affecting me and my social life... im super crazy and im the coolest stand out guy and im noticed.... and when im noticed... im really noticed.... so i need some help or anything you can give me. i never touch my face every single day, but if im itchy on my face which is rarely, i a cloth and itch my face. its my skin.... even sleeping... i know they are attacking me... a dermatologist is my last and final resort. i have black heads deep in my nose skin and i have acne sprouting even when i wash every 6 hours and rinse every 3 hours every but not when i sleep.

You washed it too much, didnt you?

If you wash it too much, it causes pores to produce more natural oil. your skin needs natural oil to moisturize your hair.

yeah you are washing your face too much. way too much. and that's not good. because whenever you wash your face you strip it of the oil, dirt, ect. and if you wash your face too much it causes the skin to produce even MORE oil. so quit washing your face all those times. it does more harm then good. just wash twice a day.morning and night. try using Shiseido D program for sensitive skin. i know yes it's for girls but it's scentless and use it. becuase it doesn't make your skin dry. and it's gentle and gets everything off. and in the evening if you want you can just rinse your face. i live in a really hot place and it tends to make my skin oily. and i have a breakotu along my cheeks. which sucks. i used to have really really clear skin. so i'm trying proactiv. maybe you could try that. but i think your acne isn't so serious. oh and about the blackheads. once you get rid of ALL the white heads try getting a serious scrub to scrub it all out.

i don't think it's necessary to wash your face before you go to sleep because you wash your face in the evening and in the morning

I used to break out really badly, but I'm not very bad right now; just a few black heads, & I'll get a few whiteheads on my forehead every once in awhile.

I went to a dermo once, but honestly, it didn't do shit for me.

What you need to be using on your nose is a Benzoyl Peroxide treatment. Look for products containing that ingredient.

I have combination skin. Before I was my face I use a scrub to get all the gunk off of my face so it's just clean, fresh skin. Then I use a moisturizing face wash so that it penetrates my pores when they're not clogged, allowing my skin to get the best clean it can get w/o drying it out.

Also, you might want to buy a pack of oil blotting sheets & keep it in your wrestling bag so you can blot all of the excess oil & sweat off before it really really gets clogged into your pores.

Hope that helps.

You should really wash your face at night only. That way when you sleep, your pores are clean. In the morning, it is not necessary to wash, unless you use it to help you to wake up (just splash cold water).

Overwashing the face makes the oil glands work over time.

WRONG, YOU SHOULD WASH FACE AT NIGHT AND MORNING! Bacteria can spread throughout the face. it's important to wash your face two times a day.
-----------------------

jummony, you should do research on skin problems/acne with the search engine.

Try Murad men website. They have 30 dollars deal for 3 skin products. i know it sounds expensive, but they have a lot of pretty good ingredients in the products. You should try it.

Here's the promotion:
http://www.acnecomplex.net/

Here's the section for acne:
http://www.murad.com/acne-products.html

Whenever you surf through the websites, try reading the left column for articles. It provides facts to your problems.

About your skin, it’s always important to moisturize your skin so it doesn’t overly produce oil. Once, it’s overly produced, the pores naturally doesn’t go back to the normal oil production.

Moisturizers are good for acne protection. Sunlight is actually bad and can worsen your pimples. When you select a moisturizer, pick non-alcohol, non-fragrance, wont clog pores product.

If you wash too much you can strip your skin of it's ability to maintain the right amounts of oil and natural protection/healing of acne. Do not wash too much! In the morning and at night should be the minimum. If you you get sweaty you should wash your face with a light face wash to get ride of the excess oil and bacteria.

As far as blackheads go, use an exfloliating blackhead scrub. Biore has a good scrub and they also have the strips which work well.

A dermatologist can prescribe something that should help it.

If you're looking for otc, use creams with benzoyl peroxide.

I'd recommend washing your face with a gentle cleanser just twice a day; once in the morning when you wake up, and once in the night before you go to sleep. After you cleanse, I recommend using Benzoyl Peroxide products like other people have recommended- a good choice isNeutrogena's On-The-Spot Acne Treatment; it's cheap, under $10, and effective. Liberally apply to problem areas, and moisturize after 5 minutes of letting it absorb into the skin. Do this every time you clean your face. It totally cleared my acne away.

Oh, and for moisturizers- use anything gentle. You can buy one from Neutrogena too, so it won't clash with the acne treatment cream.

If you're having problems with blackheads on your nose instead of red pimples, I recommend using a nose strip product. Biore Pore Cleaning strips are good, and they have them specially formulated for men too.
