If given the choice which version of a movie on DVD would you buy,
Widescreen or Full screen? And please tell why.
Thanks D. H. Cooley

Widescreen, especially for adventure/sci fi/fantasy type films because I like to see as much of the scenery and action as possible.

I don't mind full screen for films that are more intimate in nature.

----> Entertainment (since we're talking about movies and such)

Wide screen. You get to see everything that was meant to be seen.

Widescreen for the same reasons above, you can see more and it gives me more of a movie feeling.

It doesn't really matter to me. When you buy widescreen you get those stupid black bars _dry.gif

I usually buy full screen. But when it's movies like say, Pearl Harbor, I buy those in widescreen. It just feels different. Full screen gives you a focus point and widescreen gives the overall effect. Yeah?

i buy things in full screen because i don't have a wide screen tv plus the two black stripes on top and bottom get on my nerves.

I usually like fullscreen, i dunno why but i've always preferred it.
maybe it's the fact that there aren't two black strips above and below the actual screen. I dunno, always has really bugged me.
I mean, the only time I even cared about WS was in LOTR.
I mean, that's different...

but most of the time i watch chick flicks,
and there is no need for WS there. lol.

i like widescreen, b/c the picture is not so stretch. And in theaters they show wide, not full.

When i buy dvd i only buy wide. I never buy full, unless there are no more.
