ok soo i was wondering , i`ve noticed that every single time i talk to a girl face 2 face ... no matter young or old , they start flaunting there hair ......is there any reason for that .....because they doo it everytime ...and it gets soo annoying .

i dunno like ....either they push there hair on the back with there hands . or they wave there hair and whirl them with there ... head etc. it seems like there always trying to get attention or be a model . and its EVERY SINGLE TIME .....and its annoying
 ....is it because there attracted to me ?  ....it always happens every single time , im usually in my "flirtation" mode for this so i dont know . maybe i should ask about what behavoral characteristics do you guys look at

I don't do it to impress people...
I just flip my hair behind my back cuz it's annoying or tuck it behind my ears...cuz it's annoying. actually, I more often pull out tangles in my hair in front of other people...the back of my hair is really long and tends to snag...haha I don't think it's sexy at all. |

Well, I know long hair is a pretty legitimate reason to push your hair back and stuff. I mean, it does get in the way.
Heck, sometimes my hair gets in my way when it starts falling forward, and so I push it back. |

I think a better word would be "flip". A lot of girls "flip" their hair.
Not all of us have that, "If you've got it. Flaunt it" kinda mindset. But for me, it's a habit. Whenever I'm uncomfortable I play with my hair. |

Its a compulsion. I just touch it thoughtlessly. I guess I like the way it feels subconciously or something. And I'm always pulling i out of my faceand I put it in a pony tail when its getting on my nerves..then I pull it back out...I don't know its something to do. I do shake my head sometimes to try and be slick about getting it out of my face. But I never 'flaunt' my hair. If I wanna flaunt my hair I will just go up to someone and be like LOOK FEEL HOW SOFT MY HAIR IS!!! I really do that too. But only to people I know.

Maybe they don't mean to flaunt it. Sometimes, when I leave my hair down, it gets in my face---so I flip it.

I do that all the time but it's not 'flaunting'. My hair bugs me a lot, so I'll push it out of my face(where it falls a lot) or I just absent-mindedly tug at it or twirl it with my fingers- it's just habit, I usually don't even realize that I'm doing it =]

ooops...I do that but i don't mean too. It's just that If i see someone with nice hair I put It in th back because I don't like my hair or it just gets in the way of my face. lol Long time ago i normally put my hair up and when now its down I always consantly touch my hair.

It's quirky habit, I have a friend that does that. It's annoying sometimes but she does it because she gets bored. There's other girls that do it because they seen it in movies and think it's a great flirt move..PSH. Even though I'm a girl, I don't even like doing that but hey we all got our habits.

Maybe it's just in their face, or if it's hot outside, they don't want their hair to stick to their neck (i.e. today after our 20-minute run). It's a possibility that they want to appear flattering and sexy, though. ;)

hair flaunting can be a nervous habit.
i always play with my hair when i get nervous. either that or it's just a regular habit... girls, in general, are always messing with their hair to make sure it looks right. so it just becomes second nature! |

I've never notice that happen, I don't really bother with my hair anyway...
I think others may do it because it makes them more comfortable around others, I've notice its some peoples nervous habits. Like biting their nails even, I use to do that when I talked to other people -shrugs- |
