Ever had any akward silences with the person you like? I have a LOT. Sometimes, it seems like he doesn't want to say anything at all. I start a conversation on AIM, he says the "o"s and "lol"s and nothing else. Then when I'm done, there's a period of no talking. is there any way i can break that silence? Maybe get him out of his shell and say something different once in a while? I just don't want to feel like im the one that has to do everything.

Erm, maybe you guys just don't click? I hate when that happens. It happens with my friends sometimes but I have some ADD tendencies so I guess it keeps things interesting. When my Add tendencies aren't happening I usually just ask open ended questions. Lots of times if you don't know a guy that well he doesn't like you to keep rambling about small things. I guess you try the whole opened ended thing. Like you mention something and then say "What do you think about that?" "Do you like that?".... yeah...

Say something random. Something really, really random.

I have problems like that too on AIM, but that's 'cause I really, really dislike IMing people, but I talk a lot on the phone. mellow.gif

don't just ask questions or say stuff that only requires him to say 'o' or 'lol' etc. talk about stuff that maybe he can relate to even more like his favorite things or w/e then he'll start getting more interested in what it is you guys talk about.

I used to like a guy that would alwayssssssss do that.
It got me pissed. So I'd be like "Do you say anything else?!?!"
That brought the convo a little up.
But then it went back down. Just... ask who he likes or something.
Something that will make him curious.

He's just apathetic and indifferent to you.
He doesn't find you interesting. At all.

Perhaps, in large, bold, big size font, you should write "PUSSY" or "ANAL SEX" or "I SCREWED YOUR BROTHER LAST TIME" context would catch his attention.

..for about .01 seconds.
But atleast you had his attention for that .01 second, right?
Probably more than you did before and ever will.

i Really thik you should get to know him alot better, then he'll be curious about youa nd ask you. then yeah lol..

a good question to ask is how his day was(ask what he did.)... and what he plans on doing tomorrow, etc.

personal questions always work. If you don't know already, ask about his siblings..if he has any, etc! _smile.gif

wow i've had that problem before, it totally sucks, but yea he could be just doing homework or something and maybe doesn't feel like talking. I wouldn't worry too much about the AIM convos, if it happens when you're talking to him in person, then try harder to open him up, and ask questions about him and stuff happy.gif

Say something completely random, if you do it correctly, you'll go from topic to topic. Like from handball to terrorists. Don't ask how it got there, it just "happend".
