Do you know why? CB isn't what it used to be. It's like a ghost forum for me. No good members come anymore! If I see CB change and its style brings me memories of '04 and early '05, i'll sure appreciate it and be more active. But shoutouts to Suzette aka the "Princess of Mods" for being the security of each and every thread. Other than that, someone bring CB back!

Of course it isn't the same. Members come and go. The exact same people will not stay here forever for your enjoyment. Many are going to college/high school and don't have as much time to spend on an online forum or have outgrown their interest. It's only as boring as the community makes it out to be. Don't know why this is so difficult to understand.

People are just busy with school work now, and the chats are fun around 7,8,9 eastern time. That's when I see the most members online. The people here aren't boring either, just busy. Majority of people here take hard claasses in school, and try to continue their hobby of arts,writing etc.

There really isn't a single given interest for the entire site outside of designing. I post a lot of topics that are esoteric. On a hiphop forum, they'd be 5 pages deep in a matter of a few days. Here, people read it, co-sign and leave it that.

Not to mention this site thrives off of drama. No drama = peaceful. But if you like that petty, high school shit, have fun. You need a drink. I suggest a Tom Collins.

^ Well, without meaning any disrespect to any members here, most people tend to read a topic, nod their heads (ie "I agree," "totally," "It sucks,") and move on (which is what I think you meant by co-sign. I'm sort of old and haven't heard that expression before. )

And yes. The times I've seen the place booming have been when some type of drama is surfacing. I find these things exhausting, (regardless of my involvement, which typically isn't intentional) not entertaining. I've almost left a couple times because of cB related drama, it isn't what would make me want to stay.

Forums (most, if not all) go through periods of inactivity.

I do have to say that statements such as this:

Isn't exactly the way to encourage new members to post. Neither do sentiments that refer to cB old school and what not. Not everyone (including myself) have been here as long as many of you. It can get discouraging to read that after a while.

By all means, appreciate the past, reflect upon the past, but don't dwell on the past. It'll get you and this site nowhere.

Wow. Why are you people so angry all the damn time? Maybe CB's becoming what it is because of moody asses like yourself.

I mean, jesus, I've only been back on CB for a couple days, & what do I notice? It's BAD to share your feelings now! It's always "Stop your complaining, stop your bitching." To all of you who have said that, SHUT UP. There's absolutely nothing wrong with expressing worries or doubts if this forum is supposed to be a community. It doesn't always have to be matter-of-factly & strictly organized, like we're robots. People have emotions; it's okay to show them!

Anyway, Statistik, I was gone because I just got too busy. Balancing school & work is not an easy task. But now I'm back, for the time being. Like the others said, people come & go all the time. That's just the way it is.
