*thumbed*

eh.

Well, I didn't have a definite idea of what I wanted to do for this b-day card, so I just started fiddling around in GIMPshop.

I think it's too big. So I'm going to make it not as wide. I love the brushes and font, because they're both supposed to be retro. But should there be something else in it?

It's a good start, but it's a little empty. I think you need a vision, or a goal as to what you want your finished card to end up like

I suggest to either vector or cut out a picture from the internet to start with, then add brushes behind the image to compliment it =)

I updated it!

I took a picture of a cupcake and put it in a polaroid and did some cropping.

I also changed the background and the colors of some brushes.

The update looks MUCH better, some of the brushes still look...out of place, but its no big deal.

Agreed with Kara. It looks like it needs more. It's empty. Nice job though.

I think a border would do really well. Try experimenting with that. I really like this though. Keep up the good work! _smile.gif

It's okay.
A little plain & the brushes doesn't really go along with the theme. The cupcake make the card look much better, although it still doesn't look complete to me. Of course, you don't want to overuse your brushes, so I wouldn't put much more. Also, it needs more of a colour theme rather than just a bunch of bland colours all jumled up into random brushes.
I have all of those brushes you used & I mean ALL of them. Sweet, huh? Yup. The retro set, the person who made them has other cool retro ones that I used in various things.
