Alrite there my fellow boppers! Enjoyed reading this forum over the past fortnight so I may as well contribute me thinks.....

Got a bit of a problem you see, I've always been quite skinny. Anyway I go out with a model and she's got a good figure so I promised her over the summer that when we go on our hols next summer I'd have a six-pack for her (not a small crate of coor's light, but decent abs).

I don't work out at the gym but play for my football team twice a week and it did keep the flab off (along with a healthy dose of slap&tickle/how's yer father etc etc). But I broke my arm during a training sesh a couple of months ago and coupled with the fact that I have a job which requires me sitting on my arse for 6 hours a day I have got a slight pot belly and a bit of excess fat on my chest. Now they aint man boobs....yet. But I'm getting worried.

I aint due back to play for my team until early next year and am getting very little excercise/cardio due to my arm. And I need this six-pack by May.

So my question to you my cyber china-plates is how am I a) going to shift this excess podge and b) get this six pack in my condition??

What sort of food and drink do I need to focus on consuming and is there any specific excercises and machines I can utilise to help me get these decent abs. I don't wanna or expect to be rippling a la Brad Pitt or anything but just want to have a toned stomach and chest to accompany my normally slim frame.

Any advice that's gonna help me fulfil my promise to my bird would help coz if I don't she will kick me in the nackers.

Cheers guys.

Ricky Danger.

p.s. those of you not familiar with cockney rhyming, China Plates means "Mates".

Peace. And Love. And don't forget to Believe too.

I can't until January as I broke my arm.

Most cardio such as swimming, rowing, cycling are out of the question right now.

Should be running soon though.

Dunno why the fat I have put on over the past cupla months has gone to my chest :-(

Anyone got ideas of how to get rid of developing man boobies?

You can't keep running from what you're trying to find.

would she really care that much if you gained a little extra weight?

if your arm's broken, i'd do all sorts of crunch exercises. one where you don't need arms is where you lie on your back and lift your feet up and down slowly, but not touching the floor. your butt should be slightly off the ground too.

also, go running. you lose fat overall with that.

Ricky,

wow, i'm really sorry about that, that's too bad mellow.gif gah.

Anyway, just so you know about your abs. . .
You need to lower your overall body fat to start seeing your abs.
Meaning, doing a mixture of cardio and weights and eating correctly.
Cutting out soda, sugar, and major processed food, such as white bread and stuff.
Eat alot of complex carbs such as fruits and veggies. Eat a lot of lean meats as well.
Fish, Chicken will do the trick. You also might wanna snack on egg whites or nuts.

So doing a mixture of cardio and weights will lower your overall body fat.
Concentrate on your abs at the same time.
Do reverse crunches, Obliques [try them with a medicine ball, it works wonders].
Since you are part [or was] of a football team, i'm sure you know a few stomach exercises you can do.

Good luck!
