Alright, coding is nothing new to me, but coding a myspace page (just because of all the reduntant tables) can be hard so it isn't my expertise. I have made 3 or 4 of my friends' myspaces and never got criticism. Please take a look?

My current profile, although I am creating a new one
One made for my friend. A little bare but rate anyway
Another made for a friend. This one is a little more grungey (spelling?)

I apologize in advance if any of these profiles are on private because I don't know ;)
Thanks

Edit: My new layout is up now. Look at the first one =)

Wow, three at once. Overloading my brain, lol.

The first one:
The graphic is nice. The only things that I think looks out of place is the music player, seems like it was just stuck under the "signs" section. Also, I think it's strange that links are red; there's no red in the actual layout. I would have prefered for it to be centered. The navigation seems a bit confusing.

The second one:
It is very plain, as you mentioned. I like the idea, just not the execution of it. I don't think it would work very well in smaller browsers, due to the fact that the comments section is so large, the comments aren't even using the whole area so I think it's somewhat unnecessary to have the area that big. When I decrease the width of the window the default myspace layout shows out of the side.

The third one:
The set-up of this one is probably my favorite. It all seems like it has a place. The navigation is easy to find. I think it would look better if all the friend's pics were the same size, I guess that's just something of my own style preference, and I know it's hard to resize them without them looking strange.

Overall, you seem to have the same kind of style, as far as the css goes. Maybe in the future when making different layouts try different styles. And your scrollbars have no css. It's not a complaint, they just seem to stick out, esspecially in the darker layouts (since my defualt scrollbars are light.)

Thank you very much both of you. Dee, I love your criticism. You know that I never noticed the original profile showed up outside on the iPod one when resized. Thank you very much =). That was actually the one that I took a different approach to hiding the content. I think I will stick to my owns ways =). As for the scrollbars, on the Ipod one, my friend thinks he is a genius and has to play with the code himself so I am constantly fixing his errors. I had colored scrollbars on there at one time but I guess he took them off. Even though he was the one that told me to put them there? _unsure.gif

Finally, about the music players. Actually, I did just put them in out of nowhere haha. I'd make my own flash one if I wasn't so lazy laugh.gif

Oops^^ not done yet. The navigation on the first one was a last second thing too. I make layouts as I go, and after I created all the boxes I forgot to put in links whistling.gif

Finally (yes finally), I will change the red links JUST FOR YOU =), and I might even change the widths and heights of the images on the 3rd one as well.. JUST FOR YOU =)

Thank you again for replying. I love it!

^^ Haha, how sweet. Just for me?
I actually liked how you did the navigation in the first one (your own I think), when I found it. I just thought it would be kind of confusing for someone who is totally clueless of how overlays work.

I try not to be too harsh when I comment other people layouts, because frankly, mine suck XD.gif

Keep up the great work.

Haha thanks. Yes my "computer savy" friends know that the teeth are links, but my dumb friends don't haha. Oh well =P
Thanks a lot though. I love your layout =)

Wow. Talk about talented!

First - I like this one alot. You have a good selection of fonts that actually fit with the layout. My only problem with this was finding the navigation. But it was a very creative place to put it!

Second - I like the setup but it seems to plain. In FF you can see some of the details area. But rather nice job!

Third - This is a VERY nice layout. The setup is great and I love the navigation. But his friends are going by to fast. But nice job.

I really like all of these! Nice job!

Their okay, I think in many places they could be better. The second one I've seen other version of it almost identical to it.

The first and third ones are pretty okay. The third one is the best I think. Graphics are good on that one and the content fits well.

The first one I think it just has to many content places.

Thank you Infinite and showstopper =)

The critisizm is good as long as you can back it up. Which you have. I know mine has way too many content places, which is why I am creating a new one =/

My idea behind that one was to not have to scroll vertically through the body. Even though you have to in 800 x 600.

It is very hard on a myspace profile to make things look good in all resolutions and browsers. I appreciate your ideas/critisizm (spelling?).

And about the Ipod one, I did not have very much time to work on it. My friend is impatient =/.
