CreateBlog 'code snatcher' doesn't work Options

-sigh-. i want to kno what a friend's code is. Right when i thought, this was going to be reliable, it isn't...

his link is myspace.com/screwbyoplz.

a code pops up, and i insert it in the area and it's entirely different.

sometimes codes don't even pop up as well, jus descriptions in a category.
-ex. Jolin Tsai in Heroes -
and that's it

if it's possible for anyone to obtain the real code for me, i'd be appreciative, or if they can make the snatcher work correctly.

It sometimes doesn't work. I've seen that too.

I don't want to post up the codes for you because your friend may find it desrespectful but did you ask him? He is your friend after all. You can always view the source of his profile. If you know where to look, all the codes should be there unless someone encoded them (though I'm not sure if it's allowed by MySpace).

the source isn't there. i believe it's custom made. i've asked him but he said he doesn't care. he told me to try to get it myself. he doesn't kno anything about computers and i barely do as well. a friend of his made it but i dont kno her.

What I meant by source is whatever codes are placed in the 'About Me' and 'Who I'd Like to Meet' fields... I see them.

You right click and select 'View Page Source' or 'View Source' (depending on which browser you use).

That would give you the code to the entire page. You need to find the right section in order to find his layout codes.

The code snatcher hasn't worked for a while, all it does is give you the codes in the interest sections. Not the about me or who i'd like to meet parts. I find it kind of nice, I wouldn't want people to take my whole layout without asking.

That's been brought up before. It's meant to be used as a teaching tool. I learn a lot from looking at others' source to see how things work (general sites, not MySpace specifically). I believe there is some sort of disclaimer but that's a risk to be taken because there are some who will use it with ill intention and some who will not.

Yea, I've never gone to it except once. But its still the fact that most people wouldn't use it as that, as the above suitation they just wanted the layout and that was the end of it.

holly, its not like you can't get it anyway. it's either you use the view source or the code sniffer/whatever it is and get it. even if its been encoded, were not that only place that offers a decoder. there are ways around everything and its not like we are blantantly saying that it won't happen, but theres no point taking it down because its still going to happen.
