okay so i went to my friends birthday party, and right when i show up i dont recognize anyone there except for this one girl that i used to be best friends with but we just stopped being friends. and she didnt know anyone either, so it was just like me and her the whole night. and we talked and stuff, but it was really awkward and so like as soon as we got there, all of the birthday girl's friends were like looking at us and whispering and crap like that, and like in the end the only girl i knew that was there left so it was just me and all of them. and like they were all glaring at me lik ei was some kind of a freak, and it was SO embarrassing. not only that but the birthday girl ignored my present, didnt read my card, and treated me like i was some pitiful loser. i guess theres no question in there, but how do i bounce back from something so embarrassing?

WOW. i would have left early if i went to that party.
i don't know why the girl invited you to her party if she didn't want you to be there... maybe you were a bit paranoid and the other girls weren't really glaring/being mean to you (maybe not) ... but the b-day girl ignoring your present and treating you with no respect was rude, rude, rude!. i guess it's too late for confronting. i'd just totally ignore her/not be nice to her at all in the future. |

No need for words :) Give out the vibe: I'm cool, and I'm over it. yes i agree with what everyone has said so far, you really can't do anything about it except be the bigger person and show that you are over it. i've been in that position too..i usually leave early esp when i don't know a lot of people or usually the host introduces me to people and i try and get along with them for the night and make the best of it. this year my one of my best friend- a guy had his graduation party this year, btw his gf i'm not a fan of  and i'm not really close to his friends or really talk to them.. so as i walked in he left everyone and came by me to hang out and so did his parents. his friends especially the girls just keep looking at me like i was some alien, ugh. but yea i told him i had to leave early because of a family bbq, and he was cool with it..he's not a fan of my group of friends either.. its wierd but yea.
