My DIV Layout

Ok everyone! please let me know what you think of it. i'm very new to this so be gentle.

i'm having problems submitting it. it keeps telling me that my images should be in jpg, gif, or png. all of my images are one of those links so i don't understand why it's not working.

Um, it's alright for a first. I think the graphic is really lacking though. And there's a blue border around the pics (I'm using AOL) You should be able to get rid of them with this:

I personally just hate tacky fonts like Kristen ITC and Comic Sans. This wasn't pleasing to me at all. There is also a link attached to your overlay image with makes it impossible to click anywhere but on it. Other than those few details lacking acceptance, it is an okay job for your first DIV design.

thanks for the code. i hope it works i'm not sure. when i look at it though i don't see it but i put it there anyway just in case.
as for the graphics, i'm still learning how to use photoshop. i just hope one day i can be just like you!

I really appreciate your honesty. i like these fonts for some reason but i can understand that not everyone does.
as for the link, i've looked through the codes and i don't see any links attached to the overlay.
Do you OR ANYONE[u] have any graphic tips that i could use to enhance this overlay? i would really appreciate it.

I still thought the design was okay, I didn't mean to offend anyone, especially about the fonts. I apologize if I was a bit rude. ^Just removed the link from the image (bold) and leave tne imahe source (underline).

thanks for the code. i pasted it on to the profile so i hope it works now.

as for the font comment, i didn't take it personal but i really appreciate your concern. it's true that not a lot of people share the same likes as i do and i just have to play with other fonts to get use to them. if you have any fonts in mind that would work best with this layout, please feel free to let me know.

you might want to add some more color to it.
make it stand out.
maybe add a brush or two.

thank you so much for the comment! i'm working on the graphics thing. i'm using PS the trial version. and after playing with it for the past couple of days i'm contemplating on spending the money for the pro. but i still have a lot of learning to do.

QUESTION...can i just submit like a background for people to use? i've been working on one all day today and i would love to know what people think about it.

If this is the first image program that you've had, I'd suggest reading through some tutorials just so that you can familiarize yourself with all the features and such. Also, another great site to check out is websoup.org. They have lots of great resources for Brushes and downloads for PSP and PS, etc. They've all been looked through so you don't have to just google it.
