okay i thought about this, its weird how most of the asian population are small and yet they contain the most tallest people, every tallest person i hear is always asian??? isnt that weird

No, that's actually not true. All the short Chinese people generally come from southern China, but when you reach Northern China, in general, they're all very tall.

That's too big of a generalization. I know a lot of Asians who are short, and some who are tall.

Also, country size doesn't affect one's height. Being short would only save vertical space anyway.

Maybe it's affected by altitude. The higher you get, the less pressure there is.
And it would explain why people from northern China are taller..

Anyways, surveys note that asians are tending to be a bit shorter than everyone else. The "Few" people that you know are tall are virtually meaningless.

I was kinda shocked because their are like no tall asians at my school. I think I have only seen 2 tall asians? The rest are around 5 feet 2 , 3 , 4 inches?

my dad says that asians are f**king short is cuz we eat too much seafod and not beef or drink enough milk... I would say a statement like that for the Philippines since we basically eat fish everyday there...beef and pork are f**king expensive...milk and all

Well the Asian population is pretty big. But yeah, like Yao Ming, he's pretty tall. I know someone who's Chinese who's extremely tall too. I dunno. I'm not that tall myself, though, and I'm Chinese. =P

i'm asian, and i'm 5'5"... that's pretty tall, compared to most other asians I know... everyone in my family is pretty short, except one of my uncles who's like over 6 feet. but he grew up in practically the north pole rolleyes.gif

HAAHA WE DONT HAVE MILK, WE HAVE CARABOW MILK, WE ARE TOO POOR TO HAVE REFRIGERATORS TO CONTAIN MILK IN THEM, MILK WOULD SPOIL.

i was a little harsh but those are the conditions poor filipinos have to live through. powdered milk is the way to go over there.

This is me when I took a pic with Yao Ming.

LOL no, acutally thats the shortest dude in the NBA currently.

Anyway here is a list of some of the tallest Basketball players around teh world. The Number 2 and 3 spot are held by asians.

hmm my grandma is just around 5'

I suppose most asians I know are extremely tall, but their all guys. I'm around 5' 6" and most of my guy friends that are asian are around that up to 5' 10" never seen one over 6' though.

Tch and there's a lot of pretty asians in the U.S. I'm damn forserious.

yeah, it's a pill that gives you the lactase enzymes that you need to digest lactose.

asians are short because they eat a lot rice which doesn't have a lot of nutrients for growth.
a part of europe called montenegro has the tallest people.. women's average height is 5'11
