IVe been downloading fonts for a long time with my old computer (it didnt have windows xp) and I used winzip to do it and it always worked fine.

Now it doesnt work. I've done it many ways. First I just opened them and dropped them into the fonts folder (which it told me how to do on defont.com)

http://www.dafont.com/faq.php

The fonts were in my font folder, but I cant use them. They wont show up in any programs.

Then I tried using winzip, and when I unzipped them to my fonts folder it said they were already there.

They're in my fonts folder, but I cant use them. I dont understand whats wrong?

Im getting VERY frustrated! mad.gif

you're suppose to go into start>>control panel>>fonts then drag the file in the Win Zip file to the fonts

Did you, by any chance, have PSP open when you did this? If you did, restart it and they should be there.

If not, then you might see if you can use them in any other program. Like MS Word. In the end, you can always just delete the font file from your folder and try again.

What type of font is it? Some programs can only use TrueType fonts.

What you did should work. However, sometimes computers are fickle, and won't let you use the font right off the bat. Try restarting your computer. It will work... you just have to be patient.

I've had the same problem... but it always resolves itself _smile.gif

The only time I had a problem similar to this, is a font called "f**k you las vegas" and its an awesome font, but for some reason it will not work, after doing all of the deleting, uninstalling, and restarting psp.
So I advise you to just try to use a different font, as bad as you may want to use one font, maybe you can find one that is something like it.
OR
try searching for the same font name, but from a different font site, maybe its a different file and it may work after deleting the previous one?
Just a thought. Good luck.
