Find a quiet moment alone with her; it can be in the car, or maybe at home, or when you're out somewhere. Just whenever you feel the time is right. happy.gif

They saw him/her over the house all the time and they asked and I told them and they just figured it out for themselves.

Ask her when you could be aloud to date and then she'll say something. Then tell her about you boyfriend and how nice he is.

well they assumed that we were dating long before anything was official. but a week after we made it official, i was in the car with my mom and i asked her how she felt about him and would she mind if we dated. and she said why, and said because he sorta asked me out and i sorta said yes...

she wasnt to happy but she was ok with it

my mom would totally freak if she knew i had a bf. so my advice: don't tell her, if it's harmless.

i brought him home.
they offered him food.
he ate everything.
they ended up liking him.
maybe for his looks, or tastes in food.

in other words, don't worry.
if you think this guy is worth it to meet your parents, then he'll do fine.
but if your parents freak out, there's always explaining to do.

it's at either end of the scale, sweetie.

I haven't told my mom I have a boyfriend yet either, but I don't think I'm going to. If you're always hanging out with someone on the weekend, after school, and talking to him on the phone then she should be able to figure it out after a while. Parents can't be oblivious for too long.

It's no biggy to have a boyfriend nowadays.
I think you should discuss her opinion on such things, and then apporach her with your boyfriend, and such?

It kind of depends whether you think your parents will like him or not. of course if they dont theyre gonna give you a hard time but if they do like him then there shouldnt be any problems. You know your parents very well, i mean you practically lived with them for your entire life so just either talk to them about it or if you dont think they will like him then....just dont tell them.

First off engage in the relationship with your boyfriend. See how well it goes, and how stable it is. When a few months pass by, and you know that you're in a steady relationship, tell your parents. You wouldn't want to break up right after you tell your parents in the beginning of the relationship now would you?

After that, she started asking questions and yeah :)

lol, well for my current boyfriend, I really didn't tell her.
Mainly because at the time I wasn't sure if we actually were "bf and gf"
We never liked to call each other that, you know.
We just kinda...happened.
So my mom just kinda figured it out on her own lol.

If you really want to tell your parents, and you're really serious about the relationship, sit your mom down and explain things. Explain that you think you're old enough, and mature enough to start dating. Tell her that she can trust you. And then... if she seems okay with that, tell her that you'd invite him over so she could get a better understanding of him, and where you two are going.

That's what I did with my parents when I was younger. Although.. my mom really didn't care, but I still thought it would be good to re-assure her.

just be like:

Mom i met this guy/girl (whatever they are)
We been talking for a couple of weeks now.
He/she .....
well it all depends how your parents respond
but try to start like that. talk calm and quiet.
Give only good impressions. show your mom your emotions, tell her your feelings.
and find a place where there will be no distruptions.

oh tell your parents that your taking things slow.
and have your mom meet the gurl or guy.
Trust me when i introduce my girlfriends, i introduce her to my mom
and i let them talk for a while...you know, let them become friends...
then your mom well enjoy having your girl/boy friend around the house
which is deffs a good thing.

I either just told my mom or she found out on her own. My parents were always very lenient as far as dating went though, so they didn't mind when they found out.
