Ok girls..
So.. I'm addicted to shopping.
Yesterday I went shopping and I spend 5,000$ in six hours. ermm.gif
My brother says I should talk to a psychologist because I probably spend so much money because I'm not mentally fullfiled so I buy so many things.
It's not that I buy clothes and stuff only for myself, I bought alot of stuff for my bro and for my son.

Do u think that it's probably a psychological prob?
Has this happened to you?

thanks in advance for all your replies.

Wow, $5,000?
I have never been able to spend that much in one run.. mellow.gif

I think it's a psychological problem.. Have you been stressed out recently?

You should give your money and credit cards to someone so that you won't have anything to spend.

And usually, shopaholics have problems in their lives and they make themselves happy by shopping. If you're like this, I think you should face your problems directly.

what? There is nothing wrong with spending $5000 in one run, as long as you have it. It's one thing if you are charging away when you really can't afford it. But as long as you have the money... who cares?

I spend money like crazy also. My dad yells at me all the time because I'm addicted to 7-For-All-Mankind jeans. But who really cares. Anyone who actually complains about it to you is most likely jealous.... that's what I think anyways.

I do wish that I had 5000 to spend in one trip. That's dope. I try to keep it a max of 600$ because that's my two-week budget... haha but you have no psychological problems.

^um no, I'm not charging away. My brother says that the prob is not the prices or the money that I spend. He's ok with that but he thinks that it's just insane to buy all the time clothes and shoes and bags when I've millions. I also buy for him alot of stuff but he does think that ther's something wrong with that.

one day he went to buy a shirt he wanted from Prada but he had forgotten his wallet but then the girls there were like:" Oh there is no problem u can have it and pay later, we adore your sister she's so sweet and she comes very often"

He's so angry right now. He took all my credit cards and my purse. He's os mean right now, I dunno why.

He showed me abook where it says that many people who shop alot try to feel happy by buying a lot of stuff although they are depressed. Do u think this is right? I worry.. sad.gif

yea he's right that's too much regardless if you have the money, and if you don't then that's just as bad, but any who if you feel the need to HAVE to shop just to make you happy and you do it like that then definately have it checked out. i used to be like that, and it was because of problems i had and luckily i faced them head on right away. You are capable of doing it, and at least you are somewhat realizing that it is a problem (?) because spending that that is really unnecessary and a bit too extreme don't you think? -just to make you feel like you are happy, there's other ways of making you happy than spending 5000 in 6 hours, yea i can do that too but i don't because its silly and a waste. just follow your brother's advice and see someone just at least once, or a couple of times see if you like it and if it helps, and if it doesn't then stop. least your brother will feel better that you are getting help, that's if you want to of course.

I like shopping, and yeah it's addicting.. but I've never spent that much! Try finding some other hobby you enjoy and do it instead.

If I had that much money to spend in one day, I'd rather donate it to charity.

Seriously, find professional help. Because this is just disturbing. You're 16...

^ ditto.

It's a big problem since you're probably not raising that much money in the first place, considering you're 16 and have a son. Seek some help OR just completely shut yourself out of shopping for about a month. That's how I got over internet chatrooms.

We do give money for charities quite often.
I'm 16.
I don't work, I'm homeschooled. My brother works he makes about 9,000$ per month.
I lost my parents when I was very young. My mum died when I was three and my dad when I was 10. They left us a great inheritence and we continue taking money from our father's company as the income of the company comes to us. I still miss my dad.

My bro took all the cash form my wallet and the credit cards and he will give them back to me in three weeks. He even arranged an apointement with a psychologist.

Put the money in your bank or have someone you trust hold it for you.
