![]() ^ click This car is sick. The North American version uses the 1.8-liter VVTi engine from the Toyota Celica which pulls a modest 190 horsepower and mated to a six-speed manual. But this car is built on a super lightwieght body construction weighing about 2000 lbs, so it will sprint 0-60 in less then 5.0 seconds, a 1/4 mile in 12.0 seconds, and being a Lotus will have world-class handling in any track car. Worthy enough to keep-up, or beat a Corvette on the twisties. Less than US $40,000, I think this is worth every single penny. Remember to use thumbnails so that it doesn't stretch the forums! =] --Frankie This post has been edited by Frankie: Jun 9 2005, 01:09 PM |

QUOTE(krnxswat @ Jun 1 2004, 11:23 AM) Topic title edited. That was quick. Thanks. It is awesome indeed. I think you can also swap a Integra Type-R engine into one of these as well. The engines are mid-mounted to give that balanced handling. |

Awesome looking car, but when I look at it, it seems as if there are too many curves on it... Im not the type of guy who wants alot of stuff on his car, but this one seems to over slick..LOL... It still does look nice though and man that would be a chick magnet

all i can say is if you crash you are dead... But other than the decent qtr mile it has no assistant steering... which means you actually gotta put force into it... Even season pros get tired and winded driving on a windy road... For 40k id get a evo... and put like stage one exhaust turbo etc...

are you going to get one, viggen?
I've had my eye set on one of those since they first came out also, you can't just pop in a new engine, because if it is too powerful, the torque will rip the car apart, usually the backend goes first... |

To me, Elise looks like a girl's car. It's hella nice looking, but I can't picture myself driving that thing, it's TINY. I'd get a espirit. My dad might buy an Espirit when he retires, and I can take it instead of a lexus IS300!!! w00T!
