I THINK this should go in fashion, but i guess it could go into "school"...

"HOMECOMEING SPECIAL OCCASION DRESS CODE:

Appropriate dress for the Homecoming Dance will include the following guidelines:

*Spaghetti straps and strapless dresses are okay.
*Two-piece dresses must overlap. No midriff can show even when arms are raised.
*Mesh/see-through inserts in the midriff will not be allowed
*Camisole backs (lace-up) are okay.
*Front and back of dress must not be too low-cut or revealing. Back of dress should not go below natural waist.
*Short dresses must follow dress code measurement, which is to the top of the knee. This includes any slits on long dresses.
*Underwear must be worn.
*Boys must wear standard formal wear, which includes dark business suits and appropriate footwear. No flip-flops, tennis shoes, or athletic shoes will be allowed.
*Proper and formal grooming is expected. No unusual hairdos or hair color.
*No rave party accessories, such as flow sticks, are allowed.

If you are not dressed appropriately, you WILL NOT be allowed to enter. "

I don't think it's that bad this year.

what's your hc dress code?

Well, the low-cut and the the length of the dress, yes.

There is something to add one, which is no shoes with hard soles (ex. high heels) because the dance floor is easily damaged with those shoes.

We don't have a dress code for formal dances. We can go in jeans if we wanted to.

We dont have a dress code for our homecoming. It's formal but that doesnt mean you have to dress formal. Even though everyone does.

All the girls at my school wear heels to the dance and then take them off right away. It'd be a pain to dance in high heels anyway

I can see where this could be fashion, but I think it relates more to school because it's dealing more with your school's rules more than fashion, so...

Moved to School happy.gif

As for my school, we don't have a homecoming dance because one year the punch got spiked and some kids created a lot of chaos, haha. I hope we have one this year but as homecoming gets closer, it doesn't look like we're gonna get one.

Your school is stupid. Let the kids wear whatever they want. School shouldn't interfere the fun and creativity. Dude, its high school.

I'm assuming, your school doesnt want students to feel ugly compare to other dresses.
