Maybe it's 'cause you don't have enough RAM?

FF or IE? And what's your RAM?

Not exactly. It depends on how many tabs/windows are open.
But, yes. IE uses less RAM.

FF = Mozilla Firefox.
IE = Internet Explorer.

To check RAM, go to My Computer, then click on View system information, which should be on the left side under System Tasks.

It should say it on the bottom right side.

A lot of that is due to the fact that Firefox has a pretty nasty memory leak, but that's taken care of if one completely closes Firefox on a frequent basis.

if you have too much programs on at once, it makes everything lag.

I would scan ur pc for spyware cause I had a experience where a friend's IE who keeps freezing and after scanning and removing all her spyware, her IE doesn't freeze as often but to be on a safe side, scan your pc for any spyware anyways.

use Adaware and spybot, those two are the more popular of antispyware software out their right now.
