Alright, I'm a huge fan of the thread Rate The Movie inside the Sandbox. But, that thread has a few issues. People are not required to have seen the film when replying and hardly anyone really elaborates on their ratings. Well, I want to have a discussion and some elaboration on reviews. So, here it is: Review the Movie.

Posters must review the film in the last post. You must have seen the movie to post. The review does not need to be formal or especially long and detailed, it just needs to explain why you did or did not enjoy the film and how you feel about it. It is suggested that you also rate it on a scale of 10 as well. After the poster has finished their review they must submit another movie to be reviewed by the next poster. Reviews may be discussed within reason. I hope this works out well. wink.gif

Going to start this out with a movie that a lot of people have seen (not to mention it fits my sig/avi):

The Blair Witch Project.

wow, it's been so long since i've seen this movie. and even at the time, i was too scared to watch it so i had my eyes closed most of the time. the part that freaked me out the most was the end, when the guy stood in the corner and the camera floated around by itself. i nearly pissed myself.

but for the most part, i liked the movie. at the time, this was the only scary movie of it's kind, right? and i think they did a good job with it. it definitely scared me. i'd give it a 7/10.

next movie (since i'm sure everyone has seen it already):

Fight Club is an overrated confused mess. It's stylized (almost to the point of masturbation), which irritates me a bit - the filmmakers come off as if they intent to make griddy cinema, but their technique is counterintuitive to such a goal. Further, the social commentary, although interesting, is set aside for the style and hipness of the film. Because of being put on the back-burner the theme suffers and becomes confused in of itself - this hurts the movie. Although it's funny, and although Edward Norton gives a memorable performance - altogether, Fight Club is just plain overrated.

I'll be fair because I still enjoy it for what it is. 6/10

Here is something else a lot of people have probably seen (get this all back again):
Teen Wolf.
