Today I was playing with a laser pointer and wondered how far can the light go? I know maybe if i searched it up on the internet i would find the answer but i also wondered if anybody else thought of the same thing...
So does anyone know how far can a laser pointer reach? |

I don't know, but I shot it from the ground up a building and it went up all the way to the top. The building was like 30 floors..

Depends on what type it is..
If it's like one of those for astronomy and stars, then it goes pretty far. If it's for school or something, I'd say maybe.. 100-50 meters tops. |

I was in my school's library and this teacher Mrs. Roberts (she's a witch but she's really funny) was at the computers with her class. I guess they were doing a project or something. Anyway, I was allll the way at the other end of the library and I pointed it on her head and her students were laughing and then she saw it on the wall and she said "WHOEVER POINTS THAT LASER AT ME ONE MORE TIME WILL WRITE AN ESSAY, GET ASD AND GET SMACKED!" She was really pissed. It was so funny! She had no idea it was coming from across the library. My German class (who I was sitting with) was laughing so hard.

The most I've seen is by a green laser. The frequency is crazy, the light goes far enough to point out constellations and blind pilots if directly shone on them.. ._.

man all i know is they can reach from teh farthest seat to the imaz screen...because everytime i go to the imax some dumb kid and his dumb laser pointer are interrupting my movie experience. -_-
at girl scout camp we used to wonder how far a flashlight would go. |

It depends on the color and power of the laser, really. I'd know more if I actually paid attention in AP Physics, but uhh.. a quick search will tell you approximate ranges for some pointers:
