MySpace, the wildly popular online teen hangout, said on Friday it will make its first move into the digital music business by selling songs from nearly 3 million unsigned bands.

Moved to News.

Do you have a source for this? I'm not too fond of MySpace so if they want to sell music from unsigned bands, good for them.

Yeah, really. Although this might just be further proof that MySpace's popularity is declining. whistling.gif It's either a savvy business deal or them grasping for something to keep them from dying. shrug.gif Although I can't see many people being too happy buying stuff from MySpace.

Ick.
It's kind of confusing though, because basically they would just sell stuff that has no copywrite and the artist would decide how much it can go for. If it's not copywritten and you post it on the internet kids are probably going to find a way to download.
So these bands aren't going to get a record deal or anything? Basically they're going to charge you to push the download button?
