okay, so people have icons, and have parts that are transparent, I didnt see a topic on this, but in adobe photoshop, how do we make sections transparent? I can't figure it out! and I've been searching for tutorials, but none to be found, any help please?

usually, I just use the erase lol =P And just make sure you put the eraser to pencil, not bursh, becuase brush doesn't erase clearly enought for it to be transparent >_<" And often, when you open up a blank file, it asks for what the background will be and you should select transparent, but that's for photoshop.. ib arely use imageready

what "parts" of the icon do you mean? uhmm... like the ones Yvonne(x_angawhomps) makes? Where there are rectangular "cuts" in some places? Coz.. if that's what you mean, you'll have to start with a transparent layer and then build up with the images. After that, use the rectangular marquee tool, select any place you want to turn transparent and click delete. You'll see a checkered black and white area after doing so. That makes it transparent. You'll have to save it by clicking Save for Web and then make sure you save it as a .gif file.
