mad.gif

Since when is creativity about banning certain "bad" words? What the hell happened to freedom of speech? How the hell are you supposed to express yourself if you can't really express yourself?!

This is the stupid little ignorant message I got while trying to submit a new entry:

"This entry contains language that is prohibited. Please delete the prohibited language from the entry."

f**k YOU! What if that's what I want to say? You're telling me I can't say "f**k you" or "shithead" on my OWN blog?! Even when it is ME who selects the people to read my blogs?!

Who the hell has the right to tell me what I post on my OWN blog?! _dry.gif

I'm so pissed off!!! I haven't posted an entry in a good few months. Is this new?

Um. Well. The policy with blogs has always been that profanity should not be incorporated. However they have not inforced the policy quite as much. The same goes with mostly all bogs.

Uhh. That's extremely stupid. First, because no one has the right to tell you HOW and with what words to express yourself, and second, because it's just really, really dumb.

Although I don't think it's true. In my other blog at blogger.com, I've submitted some pretty vulgar entries and they have been published :) So really, wtf?

^ Yeah, that's pretty much the deal I think.

I've never really used my msn space blog, but I'm pretty sure that there are rules like that for them.

^ And you're fine with that?! ohmy.gif

Am I the only person here who uses excessive profanity as a way to get anger out?

I curse pretty freely in my blog, which I host on my own space [LostGlam! /more blatant advertising]. And I've never heard of a post being denied because of profanity. That's weird. I mean, I understand if it's a forum like this because of just its public nature, but on a personal blog? It's like porn. If people don't want to see it or read it, get off the page.

^ Well..I wouldn't say that I'm just fine with it, I just don't really use my msn space blog, so I guess it just doesn't really affect me.

You could just say "muffinfudger" or something...
Kidding. Maybe. That does suck, though, but I've pretty much given up on blogging.

I don't cuss that much, though that's because I think that when every other word you say is f**k or damn or shit, it makes you seem stupider than you really are (I sit with a group of girls at lunch who claim that everything is "f**king stupid" or that kid should "go f**k himself"). So even though I don't do it, I don't think it's right for them to be censoring. I listen to a lot of music that has profanity in it, and isn't written in a way that's insulting. They drop the f-bomb every now and then, but they do it to stress how sad or angry they are- it's a form of expression, and they don't have the right to censor it.

you do realize that the people behind the site can control THEIR site in any way they see fit. just because it doesn't follow the path you like, doesn't mean it should be changed. honestly, if you don't like it, there are far more blogging sites out there. just because someone restricts what can and can't be done on a site that they are allowing free blogs on, doesn't mean that you are going to agree on every level.

just calm down; it's not the end of the world. people take this myspace/xanga/blogging whatever thing way too seriously, almost as if it's going to ruin their real life.

There's a reason why you never touched it Holly. You're too good at myspace to be wasting your talent on MSN space.

well i guess you can't do much about the censoring. there's always the **** option, but otherwise, just ditch msn and use blogger or xanga. theyre much better anyway.
