Alrighty guys. I think its time for a contest, but, I dont know what type of contests people WANT.

We had the "Bored In English Class" one, which a lot of people liked. I was talking to Jackie (Gypsy Eyes) and we were thinking we could go a "Bored In *insert foreign language here* ", or Bored in Biology or whatever. Stuff like that.

Or, we could do a photomanip. Where, I (or whoever else would like to head it with me) would give ya'll some pictures, and ya'll manip them into a graphic with a certain theme. (gees, can't you tell i'm from texas?)

Or, a collage. Same with the photomanip thing, just create a collage. Yes there is a difference.


There are also the traditional colourization contests. Everyone knows how those work.

And then vector/vexel, but, I dont see many people doing those so, sad.gif Eh.


So, tell me, what do you want?


Edit: Or we could try something new and do an icon contest!

I was like ICON CONTESTTTT.

and then you beat me when you editted your post..

I want a icon contest I think it would be fun, and since theres iconpoolza[sp] There are some really talented icon makers so I think it would be really neat to have.

An icon contest would be so much fun!

How would we do it? Give people a set of pictures of a celebrity or whatever, and then they make an icon and we have a vote off?


Or, I think there is something like this on livejournal, but, we could do last icon maker standing! Rounds of intense hardcore icon making!


That sounded so pathetic.The intense hardcore shtuff.

Lol,

I think we should just pick like 3 pictures, kind of difficult ones to work with. And you can make a icon with each image, such as a icon set. And people cast their votes off their icon sets.

Best one wins, The hardcore icon making sounds fun, but souns a little difficult to do now since school is starting for a lot of people..

Yeah..I like the idea of an icon-making contest

I like the vexel contest alot..but not a lot of people make vexels

I'd like seeing a vector/vexel contest, but that would be a tab long considering some people spend weeks on theirs. Icons would be nice. XD.gif It's the only thing up there that I can do well. mellow.gif

Haha, I think as the school year progresses we should do the bored in class ones.

For now I think we should stick to the normal ones, perhaps do icons and then do one of the bored in english class, and then the photo manip. and then another bored in another class one..

When we do do that contest, I will make sure you co-head with me. I think later on, like what Holly said, well do a Bored in *insert class here* Contest & A Photo Manip contest. I think we can do those at the same time..they're fairly similar. Sort of. Ish.


Icon Contests it is. Can we do a Last Icon Maker Standing contest? Like, would people be interested in that?

I want a vexel/vector contest too, but, sad.gif I've only seen like 4 people actually doing them.


And yes, matt. There will be a NO SHOWING RULE! Meaning, if you make a thread displaying your work, then you're disqualified. This makes it a..idk better contest IMO.

It will. I will totally get Sarah (Arimalka) to co-head with me. She's so good at these. I remember her heading a few before me on staff and they went off without a hitch.

Eh. Can't help the personal shtuff. Life happens.

But yessss. I will start thinking of themes for the icon maker contest. And lets wait about a month-ish to start a photomanip/whatever else contest.


(A month seems like a long time but, really, I need to stable my schedule)

You give us a word/saying/phrase/anything and we can interpret it any way we want? eg. Your theme is "candy". You can interpret this anyway you want i.e photomanip, colourization...

I will join almost any contest.
I didnt really like the "bored in ___ class" but anything else I will prolly join.
Icons, Photomanips, Themes, colorizations, icons.
I like Zebzie's idea, but I think it should be a phrase/saying/quote, instead of just a word. You know? haha.

But... I really dont have much of an opinion on this, I would just like to enter in a contest of some sort. laugh.gif

Yes yes, I was planning on doing a few of those. Get some broad themes going and such.

YESSS FOR ICONS! Man..I may even consider putting mine in. Since no one will know who's who and all.
