i say that. The way is clear! anyone can do it! just write up the bylaws in formal language and then some admin will come along and aprove them!

just like that!

you know what, f**k it, im writing them up.

except i'm doing it in Word, so im not sure exactl yhow to transfer the format to cb, but we'll deal.

Question: since we approved a process for hiring, we've changed it again. Shall i record both, with a clause which says that administrators are responsible for the decision as to which is used in each sitituation.

If you're typing it in Word, save it as an .rtf document. That way, all formatting won't be lost.

I'd say record both and in the clause, add that admins will choose either or both depending on circumstances.

Ah, i'm looking foward to seeing them typed up and all.

and again, i don't think we need jusun to approve them
I'm pretty sure an admin would work fine.

^ Come on now James. Let's speed it up. Too bad you're a Redcoat. They're not nearly as quick as the Minute Men. laugh.gif

I kid, I kid. If you need any help James, let me know. I'd be happy to help.

No offense to anyone...but this was a great idea but I knew it was never going to work out. Why are they still bylaw mods though? And why is this forum still here?

I second that... answer those questions... it's not like you guys can enforce the laws.. xD

Actually, it's funny that you mention it. By-Laws has been brought to the table again. It's something several of us have been thinking over for quite some time now. There's a pretty good foundation here, it just needs some updating.

Also, having By Law mods is (in my opinion) a good way of having some real input by those who aren't necessarily on staff AND can have some control in this environment. For example, it seems that this forum is sort of a living breathing thing. Why wait for a staff member if you're a By-Law moderator and are updating By-Laws, you need the permissions necessary to update threads, close threads, etc. (and on a selfish note, can delete/close spam threads. tongue.gif )

I would think, especially after all the recent feedback regarding hiring and warning and what not that this is something that would be desired, especially now.

Maybe if the by-laws were actually followed...

^ Working on it, Josh. I believe James mentioned something to the effect of finishing up the formal writing of the Guidelines. I'm not sure what the next step is, but I'm hoping that there will be a resurgence in the By-Law forums and we can finally put some of this to rest (with of course, the updating and what not that's inherent in these type of things).

The By-Laws are finished.

I've drawn them up formally, Anna is formatting them, and then as soon as Kiera approves them, they will formally come into effect.

Which by the way, given all the moaning about them not being followed, I should point out hasn't actually technically happened yet, so stop getting your panties in a twist, everyone! lol.
