just stop it. seriously.

tickling is immature. I hate how people tickle to flirt. Do you see adults tickling each other?

i mean, maybe a couple, but seriously, if you're not with the person DON"T FREAKING TICKLE THEM!

it's immature and stupid.

now i understand some of you are in middle school and that tickling is alrightish, but seriously stop in high school.

oh, and don't say "it's not flirting because i tickle everyone". because then you're just acting slutty.

and "well ima girl and i only tickle girls" is also stupid.

bah.

You should tell the person that is tickling you that. Cause I'm sure not gonna stop tickling my bf or my sisters and brothers. I even know adults that do it. I love when it is done to me, it is usually a cute way to show that you love someone. In my opinion. Now if you tell someone to STOP and they don't, that's when it gets immature.

Lol @ tickling everyone= being slutty. That's only if you see tickling as sexual.

My boyfriend tickles me, but definitely not in public. I agree that it's a little lame if you do it when you're around people... it's just another form of PDA.

I don't find tickling immature.
If you kept on tickling someone you didn't know well enough to be tickling, and didn't stop despite the fact that they've asked you to, then THAT would be immature.

if you guys complaining about how you like to tickle your bf/gf, you will notice i did say it was alirght if for couples.

and if tickling is not sexual, why do people usually only do it with thier partner?

now, if it's to the point where you're almost assaulting the person, both of you are screaming/ laughing (in public, by the way), and you start chasing each other.

that's rather unacceptable.

so let me rephrase:

tickling in public is immature.

tickling is fine at some point.

it's really depend on people's consideration.

tickling isnt always "immature".

at some point, when we look back at our friendship history, we remember all the happiness, laughters, joys, and fun by tickling. it is something "deep" and "memorable" to remember.

i dont think you ever pass that point yet. rolleyes.gif

that doesn't meant he guy isn't being sexual about it.

here's a good gauge of whether something is sexual or not:

if a guy won't do it to another guy, it's sexual.

OR

if a guy does it to another guy and he feels uncomfortable, then it's sexual.

this is general. there are exceptions.

look, guys touch girls more than they're willing to touch guys. this is because touching is inherently more sexual than looking.

ergo,, anything that involves touching, like, say tickling, is sexual. shoving, to some extent, also has sexual connotations.

i don't mean sexual as in pertaining to sex, i mean motivated by sexual desires.

Touching is inherently sexual? Give me a f**king break. Not everything is about sex or sex drive, dude. My parents tickled me when I was a little kid... and I'm hoping that has no sexual connotation whatsoever. Studies have shown that when pre-mature babies are constantly touched and have close contact with humans, they grow better and are generally healthier.

Touching is a way of showing affection.

That's what tickling is. It shows affection, familiarity, and a degree of amusement. You don't tickle people you don't like, do you? It's not sexual at all. And personally, I don't think it's immature.

Maybe you're just too serious and need to relax.

let me rephrase. tickling someone who you are not a couple with in a public place, like say school, to the point where you're chasing the other person around the room, is immature.

Watching them laugh till the can t breath is my bros reply lol. I dunno either but im in middle school so ya know, i still tickle my friends sometimes, i always tickle my bro if im mad at him to tik him off.
-------------------
Whats with everything being sexual? you seriously think that , lets say, a 12 yr old girl gets tickled by her 12yr old guypal it means sex?! really, it means that they're having fun together, i"m not a lezzy and i tickle my friends sometimes, of course, as i said, im in middle school.

Alright, I know they don't always mean sex... but alot of times they do, and everyone knows it. -_-' I know that there are times when I tickle just to have fun, and then there are tiems when I tickle because I'm flirting. You're right, it doesn't always mean sex... I guess I hate it when anyone tickles me because there is always that possiblitity of them doing it because they are sexally attracted to me.... I'm weird to, I really hate being touched.... O-o

I'mn sorry, bu that's just a matter of opinion... I would like some facts to back that UP. Some people like to be tickled, and some don't. I don't think it's a matter of maturity as much as it's a matter of preference.

Um...

Maybe you should try rephrasing it like this...

Tickling somebody who is crying and yelling and telling you to stop tickling to the point where they are desperately trying to get away from you... is immature.

But... you know what? Most of the time, people are laughing when they're getting tickled.

Maybe it's because I'm a guy, and women seem to think it's hilarious when a guy is ticklish, but I get tickled all the time by females I'm not dating, often in public (but also sometimes in cars and/or kitchens). (Girlfriends historically tickle me too... they also find it hilarious, apparently.) I've been besieged and ganged up on, I've had my sides tickled until I've slid down onto the floor, I've been backed into a corner, I've been made to shriek and giggle in a most undignified fashion and to extend outrageous promises if only it will stop.

As the one who's ticklish, it's never struck me as an immature behavior. Sadistic, yes.

when being with the same group of people for long periods of time(hurray marching band), you tend to get a bit....well...you know. We don't tickle most of the time...but there's a lot of poking. I know a couple of guys that are extremely ticklish, and some of us will just poke them in the side and they start convulsing. thats usually enough for us. On a day we feel extremely sadistic...we go after the ticklish and tickle them silly, and then the tables get turned. A bit immature, yes...but its fun...and its only with this same giant group of people...It doesn't happen often....We don't do it out in public though...we'd probably be beaten or something....

Yeah, that's definitely immature. Especially when you're running around the halls and stuff and get detention for it..

Poking is immature too. My friends poke me because I squeak and then sometimes they chase me around campus. It gets to be really annoying. _dry.gif

Over the top yeah, but even then it's still never really bothered me that much. It think it's rather stupid to get upset about something like that. I could see how it might bother someone who maybe isn't in a relationship. I remember when I was single and I'd be hanging out with a couple (usually not a good idea) they'd start playing around like that and it would bother me. Not jealously or anything. More like envy. I guess when I was in that situation I thought it was immature. Well... not even really immature. It just botherd me, that's all.

Is the world just black and white? Is there no gray?

ma‧ture  /məˈtʊr, -ˈtyʊr, -ˈtʃʊr, -ˈtʃɜr/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[muh-toor, -tyoor, -choor, -chur] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation adjective, -tur‧er, -tur‧est, verb, -tured, -tur‧ing.
–adjective
1. complete in natural growth or development, as plant and animal forms: a mature rose bush.
2. ripe, as fruit, or fully aged, as cheese or wine.
3. fully developed in body or mind, as a person: a mature woman.
4. pertaining to or characteristic of full development: a mature appearance; fruit with a mature softness.
5. completed, perfected, or elaborated in full by the mind: mature plans.
6. (of an industry, technology, market, etc.) no longer developing or expanding; having little or no potential for further growth or expansion; exhausted or saturated.
7. intended for or restricted to adults, esp. by reason of explicit sexual content or the inclusion of violence or obscene language: mature movies.
8. composed of adults, considered as being less susceptible than minors to explicit sexual content, violence, or obscene language, as of a film or stage performance: for mature audiences only.
9. Finance. having reached the limit of its time; having become payable or due: a mature bond.
10. Medicine/Medical.
a. having attained definitive form or function, as by maturation of an epithelium from a basal layer.
b. having attained the end stage of a normal or abnormal biological process: a mature boil.
11. Geology. (of a landscape) exhibiting the stage of maximum topographical diversity, as in the cycle of erosion of a land surface.
–verb (used with object)
12. to make mature; ripen, as fruit or cheese.
13. to bring to full development: His hard experiences in the city matured him.
14. to complete or perfect.
–verb (used without object)
15. to become mature; ripen, as fruit or cheese.
16. to come to full development: Our plans have not yet matured.
17. Finance. to become due, as a note.

So tell me how tickling is NOT mature... Because as far as I can see, tickling isn't really an issue of "mature or not".

Once again.... tickling might not be mature, but it's not immature. Just like the world isn't just black and white, there's shades of grey and a whole spectrum of colors.

If you don't like tickling, that's your own problem.

And this has nothing to do with this thread whatsoever, but you sound like a really boring person, imo.

just stop it. seriously.

tickling is immature. I hate how people tickle to flirt. Do you see adults tickling each other?

i mean, maybe a couple, but seriously, if you're not with the person DON"T FREAKING TICKLE THEM!

it's immature and stupid.

now i understand some of you are in middle school and that tickling is alrightish, but seriously stop in high school.
oh, and don't say "it's not flirting because i tickle everyone". because then you're just acting slutty.

and "well ima girl and i only tickle girls" is also stupid.

bah.

just because its not yur way of flirting, doesn't mean it doesn't suite others. dont be so harsh judgmental...its just not your way of flirting

lmao, I remember when my ex-boyfriend and I used to either tickle each other endlessly or fight til we were full of bruises.

I don't find it -immature-, and I've never cared for the rest of the world and their opinions. I just wanted everybody to know that we are a happy couple.

On the other hand, he never tickled me in public or such like.

i really don't think it's a matter of 'immature' or 'mature'.
it's just a matter of personal preference / opinion... some people like tickling and others don't.
