My dad always made this tasty salad dressing that I learned from him.
Sautee onions with olive oil in a pot for about 2 minutes, then add a cap of white vinegar and a cap of Maggi seasoning sauce (it looks like soy sauce, but it's not?). Add a couple dashes of sugar and just simmer it all for a couple more minutes. Then I add it to a salad that consists of usually: Romaine lettuce Cucumbers Cut tomatos Avocados A dash of pepper |

I have one that I make all the time. But I don't have a name for it.
Hint: When you want to make a bigger quantity of it, double the measurements. Requires: A bag/head of Romaine Lettuce Some Spinach A stem of Cilanchro Grilled Chicken 1/2 Avocado 1 Mango 1 Tangerine 1 Blood Orange 1/4 Cup of Olive Oil 1/4 Cup of Vinegarette 1 SKILLET Directions: First rinse the lettuce and cilanchro. Squeeze the juice from the tangerine and blood orange, then pour into a skillet. Turn the skillet onto medium heat, and put in the 1 piece of boneless chicken. Grill until chicken is golden brown. Slice the mangoe in thin paper slices. Slice the avocado in thin slices as well. Put both the mangoe and avocado slices ontop of the lettuce. Cut the chicken into strips and place ontop of the lettuce and slices. Then in a measuring cup mix the Olive oil and Vinegarette together then pour ontop of everything. Enjoy it! |

On the topic of salads, this place back east makes the best salad dressing in the world.
I don't know if anyones familiar with the pizza place Valerios, oh man. There ranch especially? To die for. My roommate called them up for the recipe of the ranch and they gave it to him, we started using it out here and now everyone is addicted to it. So if you have a Valerios, GO TO IT. |

Is it bad that I'm so lazy that I buy the pre-made salads?

Not home-made, but I LOVED the baby spinach chicken salad from Subway a while back.
At home, I put in lettuce, cucumber, tomato, onion, and horse radish (if I have it), with ranch dressing. Hmm. I should try adding mango and almonds. |

One reason I love going to Fresh Choice/Sweet Tomatoes because of everything you can put on your salad. (= |
