I would like to create a group community that believes in the following changes for Createblog.

• Forum for the abusers: Have a forum where all posts are anonymous and users can report abusers without bashing. This means no rude words and no avatars/sigs. The reason for this is that when a users reports a person through a PM other CB members are not aware of these surroundings. If they created a froum people would be able to have a look-out for these people. Mods could be specificly added to watch this thread and to keep it under control.
• Layouts for your CB profiles: Don't you think it would be cool if you could edit your very own createblog profile? Although there may be reasoning for this not to happen, maybe more users would join if you could customize the look of your profile. It also would add a new section to the forums =)
• Have an Interest subforum called Traveling: It could be a place where people can talk about ratings, where their going, and stories of vactaions. Traveling would be a great place for people to know one another, and get some helpful advice for vacationingIdea By This Confession
• Ability of deleting posts: If a creator of a thread does not like a reply of another user due to bashing,content, or what not, the user could delete their(as in the other user's) post [with permission of a mod]

• No bashing of opinions, users, or suggestions! This is supposed to be a nice friendly community not a war thread.
• If you don't want to join and think these ideas are stupid just leave! You don't have to post bad things about it...
• Small talk is allowed for members of the group. ONLY if it is on subject. It can not be anything like ASL or anything!
• Make sure you have all the requirements before you join. =P
• If you are a member but you disagree with one or two of our hope to be new rules please speak up and make a suggestion... DONT BE RUDE

I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW...

That I respect all of createblog and its features! I could not be more happier with the way it is run and i respect the mods. I understand it is hard for these mods to keep 100% likeness of everyone, especially when they close topics. I just think democracy is what has made the world a better place so shouldnt this site be better than it already is?

* Avatar Checking Mods: There are some avatar's the offend and disturb other members. By having mods to check these avatars less users would feel uncomfortable.

I think the avatar shows a part of your personality. If we just start telling people to live up to these standards and can't even have a image to represent themselves.. It doesn't make any sense.. Like your own for instance what if your picture offended someone, and they wanted it down. You really think thats right?

* Ability of deleting posts: If a creator of a thread does not like a reply due to bashing or what not, the user could delete their post (with permission of a mod)

If you really want to get rid of your post because of you bashing someone then just edit it out. If you don't do that more than likely the MOD will go delete it. Or edit it out and say why it was.

* Createblog Uploader: Many users have to go to other places to upload images for the forums. IF createblog could create an uploading system then users would have to open less windows/tabs... (ex. an uploader like imageshack or photobucket)

When you make a post you can upload images. Its right at the bottom where you can add a atachment.


The bottom text on your little button is really pixelated and looks really low quality. Just to let you know.

This I think is actually quite neat. Although people are going to end up knowing who said what and all. And eventually its going to probably end up in a full out bashing forum.

* Majority Rules Over Closing: If a moderator thinks a topic should be closed the group gets to vote on wether or not the topic should be closed. (The group would not be able to vote if there was a breaking of rules or the topic has already been brought up in an earlier post)

Now this I really don't have a problem with, but most of the time Mods do have a reason in which it was closed. Perhaps spam, spam gets out of control and mods go in there and tell people to get back on topic and if people don't do that then their just wanting it to get closed.

will be a issue, thats like things in the sand box. If you can get a higher post count in this then people are going to post like crazy and their post count will sky rocket if they can just type ASL? to everyone.



From all the other stuff sounds fine, The whole giving out your opinion but you don't need any one to be rude and bash the other persons opinion. The requirments I think are good as well. Atleast see some potential in your members before putting them up.

I really like this idea, although it could come in to a problem. The most I think you could do is like when you first got a xanga and you could choose from colors and stuff and it would do it that way instead of like coding.

Look, no offense but you joined cB when? This month. Give it some time and you might realize that there's a darn good reason why people are modded here. One of those reasons is good judgement. Where have you seen a forum when members vote each and every time a moderator thinks a topic should be closed? If you have a link to one, I'd sure to love to see it.

Sorry, but no. Not a good idea. Perhaps if you stick around long enough, maintain your activity and contribution to the forums you might get hired as staff here and will be able to walk in our shoes for a bit and see how easy it is and how fun it is to close things. Because it's not. I hate closing topics, I hate shutting people down. The anti-censorship persona in me screams just about everytime I do. But alas, it's what I have to do at times in my moderating capacity.

The Lounge, for one would come to a screeching halt if we had to wait for a "Committee" decision everytime a proposal for shutting down a thread is made.

Why exactly should cB members be aware of what's being reported? How is this productive? (I'm sincerely asking, not bashing)

Clubs/Communities and such typically go in The Lounge (or where else they might fit catagorically) but since you seem sincere about this, I will leave it here in Feedback for now.

Also, again I don't mean offense by this, but this type of idea has been thought of before:
The CB Revolution, it has begun. There were some outcomes as a result, so perhaps the SOSU Community might yield some results as well.

Simply put, cB isn't a democracy. Things move too fast; the staff doesn't have time to put everything to a committee vote. As Zatanna pointed out, individuals are appointed to staff for good reason: They have exercised good judgement. Let the mods do their job. They normally do the prudent thing.

Having said that, occasionally I have disagreed with topics that were closed. If you feel strongly, PM a staff member; most are receptive to that sort of discussion.

i really like that you keep changing what the committee will do, although it is now down to nothing that a committee is needed for. layout profiles? a traveling section? those are all ideas brought up previously. i think the hopes for this sosu committee died since, like i just said, there is nothing to have a committee for since you took everything out.

As it's already been mentioned, it would take forever to close topics if we were to hold votes for every thread that needs to be closed. If there one that's controversial and you disagree over why it was closed, you can PM the mod that closed it or if it doesn't say anything, PM a Head Staff/Admin. They can find our (at least admins can) who closed it and can ask that specific mod why it was closed. If any of us disagree as well and/or you provide good reasoning as to why it should be opened, then it will. Yes, it doesn't hurt to try new things but this is one that many older members feel won't work. We just know. Insufficient reason but -shrug-.

The forum for abusers would just create unnecessary drama. We've been through several hate threads and none of them were successful. If there are any signatures or avatars with offensive content, PM a Head Staff/Admin to have it removed. You say that members can look out for these people, but I really don't think that would be necessary. Mods already do that and I don't think most people would care about certain people who cause trouble. They'll receive punishment if need be. And if you notice an "abuser", let a mod know so that we can keep an eye on them. Your help on that would be appreciated.

We were talking and i asked her if she wanted to join. I told her to make a banner and so she did but she put it in her sig so i told her that she had to post it so i could put it up she sent it to me in a e-mail so i could see it and post it and then she posted it here so that she could show everyone else she had rightfully made a banner to proove she didnt just get in without follow the requirements... WOW THAT WAS A LOGN EXPLANATION
