sad.gif sad.gif i think i`ve figured out the problem with all the "mosquito bites" i thought i`ve had . i think my house is contaminated with fleas . my dog has been severely wounded lately because of the scabs surrounding her body , because of the over-use of scracthing . and as for myself i`ve been getting alot of red spots all over myself that includes with the rest of my family . even with excessive showers i keep getting it and its annoying sad.gif . i`ve also let my dog sleep in my room a few times ...and at times on my bed itself . after i realized my dog had fleas ( that was of last mon) . im continually vacuuming my floor and changing my bedsheets . i just hope the fleas don`t take up resident in our house for this upcoming fall season . it will be a horror sad.gif now were trying to decontaminate out house using all the cleaning appliances we had ..from Raid to Clorx Bleach ...to lysol ...and i just hope it works ...this is our first time experiencing this problem ..so we dont really have a clear solution , anyone in hear have ever DEALT with this . because its really getting frustrating . i really need help . please. help.gif

I`ve never gotten bit by a flea but once my house was filled with them, right after we moved in. So we ended up fumigating the entire house, and eventually they went away _smile.gif

One time my garage was FULL of them. You'd walk in there and you could feel like 100's on them jump all over your legs. We had to fume the place.

my old dog [chocolate lab] was always outside and she got fleas. they were all over the house, and we had someone come and exterminate them. i dont know if you have any other options besides hiring someone to kill them or else you may not kill every single one by yourself.

hhm
yeah
as everyone else said
I vote fumagate
but if its too much of a hassle
i gues
take your dog to the vet, like your going to, then you could just clean everything down while the dogs beignn taken care of and hope the fleas are all gone,
but you cant be too sure that way
fumagation a srefireway to go

ooh.. I just went through that problem as well--21 bites to be in fact. My boyfriend's family has four dogs and five cats. Ever since they made the dogs stay outside (the cats are strays that just lay around and eat)and stopped bathing them, every once in a while a couple of fleas would manage to get inside the house.

I don't know how but after a while the flea bites just stop. I guess it because I don't always sleep there.

They say fleas can live for two to three days without feeding.

I HATE FLEAS.
They make me not want to have a pet--EVER.

I'm not quite sure what to do with the house but if you eat garlicy or minty foods they tend to leave you alone...kind of like vampires actually...

My mom just buys these things at stores that you let off in your house, and it kills all the fleas and other bugs with the fumes. You have to cover all the food and things you eat with, but it's a lot better than a big fumigation.
