Okay, Liz wants colored contacts _smile.gif. Except Liz doesn't know shit about color contacts to begin with sad.gif. Liz has dark brown eyes & Liz wants green or blue eyes thumbsup.gif. Yes blue or green. Liz wants some color that is gonna stand out & be like BAM! laugh.gif. Liz was thinking about FreshLook or Acuvue but she wants cB kiddie's opinions. So here are some questions Liz wants to ask.

- What brand do you use?
- What color are your eyes & what color are you wearing?
- Do the ones you wear change dark eye colors to blue or green?
- Are they everyday wear or one-day contacts?
- Are they comfortable when you are wearing them & putting them it, do you ever get that dry feeling?
- Do you know a company that makes colored contacts that can be wore everyday?
- How much did it cost for you colored contacts?
- Do you have astigmatism?
- Are they easy & comfortable to put it?
- Hard or soft contacts, which one are better (or which one do you use)?
- What brand of cleaner do you use?

Hmkay, thanks & I think I'll stop talking in third person wink.gif.

I wish I had colored. sad.gif Soft > Hard wink.gif I'd go for blue if I were you. Being dramatic is fun. I think I have slight astigmatism. huh.gif That's what the eye doctor said, anyways. shrug.gif I thought Acuvue made the ones that you can throw away everyday. *Scratches head*

I don't wear colored contacts but I hope it helps.

- What brand do you use?
Bausch & Lomb.

- What color are your eyes & what color are you wearing?
I have brown eyes and clear contacts.

- Do the ones you wear change dark eye colors to blue or green?
No, but your colored ones should be visible above your dark brown eyes.

- Are they everyday wear or one-day contacts?
Everyday wear contacts.

- Are they comfortable when you are wearing them & putting them it, do you ever get that dry feeling?
I don't get a dry feeling, but it takes some time getting used to having contacts in your eyes. For me, I always have a problem putting on contacts on my right eye. Left eye is no problem whatsoever, but I have such a difficult time putting on my right one. At first it feels strange wearing them too, but you get used to it.

- Do you know a company that makes colored contacts that can be wore everyday?
No, but if you research them, you'll find lots of info on this. Ask your eye doctor.

- How much did it cost for you colored contacts?
N/A.

- Do you have astigmatism?
No.

- Are they easy & comfortable to put it?
Huh?

- Hard or soft contacts, which one are better (or which one do you use)?
Soft.

- What brand of cleaner do you use?
ReNu from Bausch & Lomb.

Just some advice. Practice putting it on and wearing it because it can get so frustrating at times. Never wear them for more than a few hours a day a first. Gradually, you'll get used to it and wear it for longer but no more than 7 or 8 hours in a day. It strains your eyes too much. Don't fret if it sort of disappears and goes underneath your eyelids. Rub your eyes softly in a repeated pattern and it should be visible enough to take out.

You know, contacts that are a shade or two lighter than your real eye color look best because it looks natural.

**dont use Bausch & Lomb because that brand of cleaner can cause fungus to grow in your eye and cause you blindness!

if you want, i can post a picture of my eyes for you. loll.
What? I use it and nothing has happened to me.

I did hear something like this on TV but not a specific brand name because it matters whether or not you clean your contacts everyday. Er.. something like that.

I agree with Kathleen, I want something dramatic like - BAM! laugh.gif. If I when too shades lighter, it would still be a brown color. Which is about the same eye color as my natural eyecolor. I don't think blue makes you look cheap. Maybe fake but I say more dramatic & I like that. I saw one really nice green one by FreshLook or I think I might get one that is a bright blue color. That stands out.

Bausch & Lomb said it would temporarily suspend shipments of ReNu with MoistureLoc.

I use a different solution but it still is from ReNu.

Anywho, thank you very much for the info. Guess I won't be using that anymore.

My friend tried green and blue on her dark brown eyes. It looked.. weird. But she looked great in this color called "moonshine" or something weird, it was this purple, it looks pretttty. Sometimes the contacts are too light or something & the dark brown showed through green & blue.
I want brown contacts.. I've got green eyes. I don't like them.

They're usually like 30 dollars if you aren't getting the ones with "power", meaning they help you see.

Hard contacts usually last longer but a bit more expensive at first, but in the end a better deal. I heard they aren't as comfortable though. I have very dark brown eyes. I wear contacts to be able to see. ha ha. I was gonna get colored ones, like a hazel or a green. The doctor told me it'd be like 60 dollars per contact though, and my parents don't wanna pay 120 dollars every three months just so that I can have hazel eyes. AHH. Eh w.e. A lot of the colored contacts look fake though. It'd be more natural looking to get a light brown opaque or w.e to lighten your eye color.

Also, a friend told me that when her contacts slide, the color blocks her vision! haha. So yeah... idk.

I was reading hte other day about technology, and about like how within the next three to five years, we'll be able to get surgery that could permanently change our eye color. Of course there would be like a preview before hand and stuff, but like you won't be ablet o get back your natural color. Eh, I'd probably do that, I'm gonna get LASIK as soon as I turn 18 anyway.
