I'm new@LJ and I need help putting a layout in*, I already look in "Having Trouble? Look here first!" Options

Well I am new at this LJ thing, I tried several times to make the layout show up, but the only I got working was the colors! Urgh, I already loop in the topic "Having Trouble? Look here first" topic but no help at all, I just got more confused )<
