This wasn't your or his first time, was it? I know that my first time (actually the first three times) it didn't necessarily "burn" but it hurt a lot. Maybe it's not as severe as everyone is making it. Have you two tried it again since that time or are you still waiting?

3 things.

  • Your vagina is chaffed from using a tampon
  • You are allergic to the latex of the condom
  • Or, there isn't enough lubrication and it irritating the skin inside the vagina.
If it is the first, either don't have sex in the couple of days after finishing your period.
If the second is the cause, switch to a different kind of condom. Polyurethane is a choice. If you partner isn't allergic to latex, double up. Have him put on the latex one first, then the non-latex.
And if number three is the reason for the burning, use a personal lubricant (sold over the counter; KY is usually the best and most common), or continue foreplay for a while longer until enough of your own bodys lubrication is created.
