wtf. i filled out all the f**king box.

i had been doing it 6 times in a row. guess what, cb's server is f**ked up.

seriously, we need to remove the layout processing.

we should just post our codes and layout in a thread, not through some stupid processesing shit.

it's very .. fusterating ... and i dont think i want to submit layouts ever again.

no wonder, all these other layout designers are discourage to submit layouts again.

the processing ... just sucks.

Are you sure your screenshot was taken in a proper resolution? With that error, the most common mistake is that there is a problem with the screenshot.

I've been having the exact same problem lately. Its almost making me not want to submit anything anymore.

Also, I know my screenshots have been the correct size.

are you sure it's the right filetype? it might've gotten saved (defaultly) as a bmp... you gotta save it as a png, jpg, or a gif.

I dont feel the need to use serach engine. i look into almost every topics in cB except the sandbox.

I think, it's best to change the policy of submitting layouts. _smile.gif

Oh. I meant .. someone who has that problem in this topic.

and yeah, i was expecting someone to support my thread.

If there aren’t many complaints about one specific subject, moderator wouldn’t take it very seriously. IMO.

I know a lot of people had the same problem lately.

the idea is poor.

it would be far less managable for mods, and the system we have works for the most part, and is evidentl yin need of repair and not replacement. stop being sensationalist.

and the title here is SCREAMING for correction.

i said it is in need of repair, as opposed to replacement. not that i knew who was doing it.

and furthermore, that second line made little to no sense

As soon as Jusun's inbox isn't full anymore, I'll tell him about it. I already have the PM written out since there are other things. Anywho, sorry for the wait. I hoped that submitting layouts wouldn't be a persistent problem, but it is.

i agree.

i did change something that might ease the problem a bit. be warned however that it does not solve it.

for everyone's information, whenever a layout is submitted, the server processes not only the screenshot but also looks for any images in the layout code to upload to the image server. the problem occurs when the images are too big, the image urls from the layout code are broken, of the images from the layout code reside in a server that is too slow.

so next time you get an error, you should try these three things:

- optimize the images in your layout code to jpegs, gifs, or pngs.
- make sure the images in your layout code are valid.
- upload images that are used in your layout code to a faster server. dont worry about bandwidth, since everything will be uploaded to one of cb's image servers and the public layout code will never point to the original location of the images.

in the meantime, i take a another stab at it and think of an alternative solution when i work on createblog v4.
