I don't believe there's a scheduled release yet, but I figured I might as well mention this now - they just finished filming. I slightly remember the original being brought up in some random thread. ANYWAYS this one [obviously] takes place before the original/remake, three years, actually. Jordana Brewster and R. Lee Ermy (I love that guy) will be in it, directed by The Darkness director Jonathan Liebesman (in which case I didn't really like that movie, but mehh I hope this turns out better). According to IMDB, he's also the director of an Untitled Friday the 13th Sequel (in which case I thought they stopped doing them and were about to embark on remakes, which Lunchbox informed me of).

it is a remake! what else can they do with jason but start over?

"the beginning" actually looks pretty good. the remake of TCM was poop. this one don't look bad, though. hopefully they incorperate the OVERWHELMING atmosphere by bringing back the entire family's participation.

Producer Michael Bay serves up another dish of lame, over hyped, under developed, and watered down horror. I'm sure. The guy can't put his hands on anything that doesn't come out smelling, tasting, and looking like utter shit. He has got to be one of the worst and most tasteless directors and producers working in hollywood today. Although I can't imagine anything being worse than the TCM remake, if anything were, this would be the prime candidate.

Despite their lame marketing campaigne, where you can only see the trailer at specific hours of the wee-morning and late-night, youtube provides us with a trailer. Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning

I don't know what to think of this movie. I think it should be pretty good, but never know. Sometimes the beginning of things are pretty lame. Or just remaks of stuff. I remember those whole Emily Rose movie was completely dumb and lame and people though it should have been good since it was a remake of the exorcist. -shrugs- I'll probably go see this though.

I really want to go see this with my friends. XD But we're buying the DVD when it comes out instead. The trailer does look pretty good so far. I'm a sucker for horror movies (omgzimchicken) so this is the perfect opportunity to make my friend deaf when we watch it at his house.. long.. long.. time.. from now. OMG DVD COME OUT FAST.

I'm physced! I love scary movies, especially when they're based on a true story. because then you don't have the "oh, it's not real" excuse when you get scared.

I am really excited, but the critic reviews are really bad. But I don't expect too much from prequels/sequels of any movie.

I am definitely going to see it.

Pft, who needs critics. They're wrong half the time anyway. I don't need someone else telling me which movies I'll think is good and what's not.

I'm gonna go see this one. I doubt it'll be all that great.

I saw it last night and thought it sucked. All gore but no real substance to the storyline. Hopefully Saw 3 will be much better but I don't have great expectations for that movie either.

are you serious ^^ it was freaking crazy, the worst gore movie ever, you saw everything, i thought it was good, it was a thriller not a scary movie.

like wow they showed everything, it was a good movie but i would enver see it again, it took me by suprize cause i thought it was never going to be good.

Not for the faint of heart, by any means. There was no storyline and it pretty much sucked. If you like gory movies then I guess you'd like it, but don't goto it for a scare.

I wouldn't waste your money like I did.

I've seen it, I don't suggest people go see it if your lightheaded or easily scared. TONS OF GORE! happy.gif Haha, everyone loved the scene where the girls boyfriend got his face cut off, everyone was screaming, anyway..I had to cover my eyes about 30+ times, the entire movie is gorey and disgusting. It shows everything and I'm used to seeing blood but this really disgusted me. The sounds were just as bad. pinch.gif My hand and leg was honestly shaking after seeing that movie, LOL. I almost fell down the stairs. mellow.gif

House of 1000 Corpses barely has any gore. It's not a very gory movie, and it has just about as much substance as any other average horror film. In fact, I would say it has a few gallons less gore and a bit substance - more. mellow.gif

blink.gif It barely had a plot.

I saw the movie with my boyfriend cause he is a big horror movie fan- but i can't handle gore so i covered my eyes most of the time. I was told what i missed wasn't really that gory. Maybe my boyfriend was being sarcastic, but he said they cut away from all of the gore. I dont know. But it was a ok movie, kinda pointless in my eyes cause you knew what was going to happen, if you want to see a good movie along the same lines see the original or even the remake. Both are better than this one.
