I'm not sure if this is in the right forum.
What do you do to feel better when your goin' through hard times? What do you do when your sad, depressed, or stressed out. Right now I feel like $hit. I've just been through a hard two days. Yesterday was the worst day of my life. 1. I messed up a relationship with someone special. 2. I lost my $100 phone. 3. I got back horrible midterm grades for my summer college courses. 4. I lost my wallet which had $300. 5. France lost and I lost $312.5 on a bet. 6. Lost my mom's credit card. 7. Messed up my knee. all in a days work Today was almost as bad, but I'm not gonna start. I wonder why I'm so unlucky. When it seems like it can't get any worse, it does. I haven't slept for the last two days, because it's been thinkin' about my mistakes. I've liked this girl for 3 years now, and i messed everythin' up yesterday because I'm stupid and gay (not literaly). I won't see her for another 5 weeks, and it's gonna literally kill me and my summer thinkin' about her. I walked around last night outside from 11 P.M. to 4 A.M. last night thinkin' about stuff and my mistakes. It calmed me down a little, but I know that the hard times just started. I can't even fall asleep. I tried to tell myself that things will get better, but deep down I know that they won't. What do you do to feel better durin' hard times? How do you deal with yourself when your sad, depressed, or stressed out? Is there anythin' I can do just "escape" from my problems? Right now I'm lost. I just don't no what to do next, because I feel like all hope is gon'. any suggestion is welcomed |

aww its okay!! well usually to make yourself better when you are deppressed ( i kno because i went throught that stage) is first talk to someone who is really close to you and tell them everything on how you are feeling..
if you cant find anyone to talk to a journal is a good way to express whats going on. keeping yourself occupied and getting involved in group activities ( sometimes with people that have the same problems that you are going thro ..it makes you feel like you are not alone) excercise is always a GREAT way to relief stress. and dont worry bad luck does not continue for the rest of your life! i had the worst WEEKS of my life and i thot they would never get better but they did..it jus takes time with patience everything will get better and dont put yourself down! everyone makes mistakes and NO ONE is perfect. GOOD LUCK! |

Do something that you enjoy,
I went through a horrible depression stage, I didn't talk to anyone though. Although I'm different and can get through most things without ever discussing them. But go out and talk to someone that helps people the most, and if not that. Hang out with the people you love and enjoy to be with. Go somewhere your most comfortable with. Just give it some time, you'll be perfectly fine. Always look at the bright side of things, even if its the hardest thing to do. There's hope in everything. =] |

^ yes, do something you enjoy. expressing yourself whether verbally or physically is always good.
if you like to draw or something, draw out how you're feeling. whatever that may be, there's always someone you can express yourself through it. i know that i like to play the guitar & write music, so i either write about it, or just play the guitar for a while. that always helps me. and even if you dont like to write, you'll discover that you make sense through words. whatever you need to do to let it out, do it. venting is good, vent to the mirror, the paper (writing) or someone who'll listen. think positively, which i know seems impossible, but when you look on the brighter side, there's always some reassurance that you'll find. give it time. i know the days will drag out, but soon enough you'll get through it. |

[font=Arial][size=2] dude. it sucks to be depressed. im sorry that your having a bad time. but everyone has them. especially me. just cheer up. tell someone how your feeling. and even if its to late to tell someone you like them. just do it. itll take a lot of weight off of your shoulders. trust me. but just dont do anything stupid like cutting yourself. i dont think you would want to live with those scars, over a little bad luck and depression.

it's alright to be sad at times. You can go to someone to vent or just have someone console you. Cry if you must. But I like to make the best out of things. We can't wallow in grief forevre right? So I do things that make me happy and focus, like playing DDR (dance dance revolution) or playing CS (counterstrike)! Anything really that puts a smile in me.

wow that sucks; you need a stress free day.. take a break from everything... let your mind free for all the stress [sounds kind of retarted] but have a day where you spend time w/ your friends [w/o any worries]

don't worry bout it mate if this girl is specil enough things will be okay and you can work it out.
and don't worry bout the money, I mean what is money? it's just somthing to keep the government happy. when I'm pissed off or upset I just sit in my room with the music as loud as possible and I just space out compleatly or I go for a walk/sit the garden with my ipod real loud, it also depends on what music you lisen to sometimes nice soft rather emo music or really loud and distructive music depends on how I feel, but soo far the best music I like to lisen to when I'm down is something happy and acustic cause it makes me think that everything isn't as bad as it seems. who needs to pay for a therapist when you can spent a tenner on a cd that'll keep you going for ages. or plain and simple talking to my mates keeps me going, just keeping myself busy so I don't have time to think. hope this helps :) |

If you're having trouble sleeping, it's worse...you should find a way to sleep. Sleep makes you feel better, and it's easier to think straight that way. Don't ponder over your mistakes (well, try not to instead of focusing on it).
Why not try writing her letters everyday? Even if there's no way for her to receive them...it's probably better to let it out by writing it out, especially to someone so special. I found out the most important thing is to trust yourself. If you trust yourself, you could tell yourself, "Everything will be okay" and you would actually believe it. Instead of believing us telling you that everything will be okay (we're total strangers, how would we know?), tell yourself that. And believe yourself. Make plans on how to make up for the money you lost, to gain your mother's trust again, how to walk to let your knee heal better, etc. About the special person, if it's a three year relationship, there has to be something that you could do either when she's gone or when she comes back. |
